With a long waiting period for new WAL instruments ( 2 years plus ) for a Wal 4-string Mk1, here is an excellent opportunity to purchase an original WAL without the wait.

WAL bass guitars are legendary amongst bassists worldwide, and here’s your opportunity to own one. Coming to prominence in the late 70’s through to the mid 90’s, these instruments are of the highest quality by any manufacturer. The don’t come up for sale very often. Made famous by players such as Geddy Lee, Flea, Justin Chancellor, Paul McCartney, Mick Karn, Percy Jones, John Illsley, Alan Spenner, John Entwistle, Nigel Griggs and many more. WAL basses give you the ultimate in tonal variation and all round tone. This instrument is a one owner, and in excellent condition. The back plate shows that it was made by original WAL co-founder Pete ( The Fish ) Stevens.

I love the sapwood at the edges... very unique top.

Forgive my ignorance but would there be extra taxes / import duty etc to pay on top of the price as this is coming from Aus?
yes naturally.... my guess is VAT + 3 or 4 percent import taxes to the UK, on the declared value

Forgot to say it's strung up with new Ernie Ball slinky 45-105.......

This bass has been primarily a " studio only " instrument for over 2 decades. It absolutely barks like a dog. The reason for parting with it is that most of my studio work is now done with my trusty ol' 62 Jazz Bass and my Wal MK1 fretless.
