nobodysprefect Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) edit: now asking 1900 pounds edit: more photos! Really really cool bass, but I'm cutting down. edit: As in, everything is going to go. It's an ash-maple bass with jazz pickups, so that's the general character. Aguilar OBP-3 is known to work really well with single coils & this bass is no exception. Very good playability. If you like jazz tones and sixes, or would like to try sixes, this is a good bass. Easier to play than most sixes and the tones make it easy to have a working tone across the strings unlike with more finicky basses. nobodysprefect Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Actually, here's this exact bass being demoed when it was brand new. https://youtu.be/ou4fRXKYTfg
binky_bass Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 This is my old bass... An excellent instrument. Being predominantly a 6/7 string player this is one of the lightest 6 strings I've played with no sacrifice to depth and tone. De Gier makes some exceptional basses and this is one of his best.
HazBeen Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Very nice indeed! Sander does not make many Elevations nowadays, workmanship and quality of materials he uses is up there with the best. GLWTS Vile.
nobodysprefect Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 It's all the usual suspects showing up in my for sale threads! Yeah, this is a great bass. It's such a shame I didn't land this 3 years ago.
bootleg Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Getting back into playing 6 string so pleased to see them appearing for sale. GLWTS.
Musashimonkey Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Bump for a fantastic seller and a gorgeous bass!
harrybgoode Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Bump... I'll keep an eye over this wonder. I'm a proud owner of one of the coolest instrument Sander has ever made and I'm fascinated by the world of six strings...
nobodysprefect Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Yeah, he seems to be a really good builder. I don't say this often, but this is a bass that is up to the standards of Ken Lawrence or Fodera in craftsmanship and execution. The video demo sounds like there's a low end CUT going on. Gonna need to record a short clip of my own.
Hellzero Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Any interest in trading for something you know and perhaps regret with a Norwegian name ?
