I got a couple of days at the start to come up with some stuff and then three evenings this week to get it into Ableton. [/quote] I only have headphones for all my listening and monitoring; inexpensive, albeit half-decent Superlux. I have them on most of the day, in fact. As to the Soundcloud count, I wouldn't rely too much, especially with such a low figure. I'm quite convinced that many 'listens' are really 'bots, picking up on just any old stuff posted. I should know; most of my contributions are squarely in the category of 'any old stuff', and get 'listens' despite that, sometimes even 'likes' from complete strangers. Maybe a count in the hundreds is a bit more significative, I wouldn't know. The essential is that it's a good piece, no..? The 'listens' are a bit of a bonus; to me, at least. [/quote] yeah, I'm not too bothered about listens, really. But I thought it was funny that the count went down because it made me think of somebody so bored by the tune that they somehow UNlistened. On headphones, my favourite headphones are just some fairly cheap Sony ones. I like how neutral they are. ....but they're the ones I leave in work My headphones at home are decent but they advertise their mega bassiness, which isn't very good for mixing.
