tonerider jazz pickups?

I think they are really excellent. As good as anything out there. It all comes down to taste once you get to a certain level after all. The toneriders are full and punchy (for a J pickup anyway). The neck pickup in particular is not anaemic at all (which is a common criticism I have of many neck J pickups). They are my J pickup of choice.

hahahahaha what a problem to have  never heard that before.

this is a tribute and quite new so maybe it's that? G&L pickups were always loud on my L-2000's but on this I have to have it cranked up quite a bit to get it loud enough, the tone is fine though.

Thanks Ham for your input I think I'll get a set and give it a go.

Ahhh, it would actually be a Jb2 that Sir Tom has, my old one. It is a bit quiet, significantly so compared to an sb2. Only thing to watch for is that both pickups are the same size on the Jb2, most aftermarket jazz pups are slightly different sizes as that's what the jazz bass takes.

Hope everything else is fine with it :)
