JamesBass Posted September 25, 2014 Share Posted September 25, 2014 So I've just bought some new flat wounds and am going to be fitting some new pickups and wiring loom to my P Bass shortly, just wondering where the best place in Portsmouth is to get this all done? I probably could do it all myself but I'd rather have it done by someone more experienced as I need my bass to be in working order as quick as possible really. Cheers! Bassman Steve Posted September 27, 2014 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Jeff Smith in Waterlooville, Steve Johnston in Hilsea (was deemed good enough to repair Mark Knopfler's 'Romeo' guitar), Graham Wheeler in Worthing (ex Roger Giffen, used to do Clapton's guitars). [/quote] Yep, the 'great guy' was referring to his skills. Steve Johnson in Hillsea is good too as mentioned in a previous post. Both are personal friends and trusted craftsmen.
