stevetdunn
Hi folks, I'm looking for a solid leather strap for my beloved Musicman Stingray 5 (it'll also carry my little Line6 G30 transmitter) - and ideally some nice straplocks. I don't really want to have to start drilling holes into my new bass - so any great straps/locks that you've stumbled across? BruceBass3901
I find the Marvel Straplocks are really good. You can pick them up on ebay and Amazon easily and all you need is a dab of Loctite (or to remember to tighten the thumbscrew up) and you are good to go Edited June 9, 2014 by BruceBass3901

BassBus
I've always liked DSL straps. Available from guitar guitar and strings direct. Come in different widths and slightly padded. Schaller strap locks on the straps for my custom basses. They use the same screws as standard strap buttons. Thunderbird
Why not try Ernie Ball's own brand of straplocks? I would think they are a direct fit for the strap pins you remove
stevetdunn
Sounds like a plan too. I'll certainly have a look. I would certainly hope after practically selling a kidney for the bass I wouldn't have to drill anything.

Thunderbird
I've always liked DSL straps. Available from guitar guitar and strings direct.
Schallers are good but the screws that came with them were to big for my G+L bass and my Fenders so I now use Fenders own straplocks and really like them but Schallers are equally as good I just did not want to drill my bass out to fit them
Westie9
Dunlops are on all my basses. Find the quality and fit superb....
kodiakblair
I just used the screws off the old strap buttons so no drilling. Dirt cheap of Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400483583372?var=670091302839&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 But coming from China means they take a while. stevetdunn
Great stuff - thanks all! Plenty for me to be looking at
LiamPodmore
Always Dunlop dual design straplocks for me. Klondyke straps are good, though mine is stupidly grippy so not if you like your bass to slide around even a little bit. Liam
