Price drop: 1300,- plus shipping
Unfortunately I need to sell this unique ACG Fretless Bass which was made by Alan Cringean for Kev Hopper (Stump, Spoombung).
I bought it from Kev Hopper here at this forum one year ago. Its almost in like new condition (see pics). Sorry, but I'm not interested in trades.
Beside the 2 magnetic pickups, it has a piezo bridge and also a piezo under the nut.
With the ACG EQ01 Preamp (see also here: http://www.acguitars...od&productId=26) you have tons of sounds on board. From
Mick Karn's Wal Bass Sound to Percy Jones more acoustic bass sound (piezo), to Jaco's sound (neck pickup) and Michael Manring's Zon Bass Sound. Even an upright like sound is no problem. This bass also has two hipshot ultra light X-tender (working like an D tuner) to change the tunings (more product infos here: http://store.hipshot...uct_detail&p=75).
The bass has new Pyramid Black Tape Nylon strings at the moment for an more upright sound.
The bass is in Munich, Germany. I will ship the bass securely packaged in an brand new G&G Vintage Case wherever you want at your costs.

Here is the description from the ACG page. Alan Cringean of ACG wrote:
This is an unusual bass for me in that it is fully custom which is not something I would normally do and will probably not be doing again. I decided to take on the order because I get on well with Kev and I really like his unusual take on bass playing and the music it results in.
The shape was supplied by Kev and tweaked a little by me.
Spec.
American Black Walnut body with a Native Walnut top.
Deep set neck made from Wenge/Bubinga/Flame Maple. Acrylic Impregnated Ebony board.
Hipshot Type A with piezo and FB neck pickup and SB bridge pickup ACG EQ01 pre-amp. Two Hipshot extenders on the E and G string.
This bass also has a piezo element under the nut. This has it's own pre-amp to buffer it before going into the ACG EQ01.
There is extensive carving on both the front and back of the bass all with a satin finish.

Here are some videos of me playing this bass:

Watched the videos...great sound/tones you're getting from that bass...as somebody commented, very Mick Karn-esque - no bad comparison....

Not sure why you'd want to sell TBH, I love my ACG.

Joe, you don't play the type of music I usually listen to, but I really loved Snake Funk.

I may have to try and steal some of your licks. B)

Trouble is, I'm not good enough.
