Just seen this on Gumtree advertised as a American Jazz Bass .
I am no fender expert having only owned a Jazz and a precision but I cant think what
model this is ..if it is indeed a model... Im thinking 62-74ri, long horn deluxe standard usa jazz- :)..... anyone shed any light?

Its a 1992 .
22 frets
Has a long horn?
Block inlays (no bindings)
Headstock truss access
Skunk stripe
Has 60s RI style pu to bridge earth
Vintage Open tuners
4 pot control plate with dome knobs
Bottom mounted jack
Active circuit
Ash or Alder
Clear or stripped body?
Only 8 pick guard screws,,,i just looked,my jazz has 11 excluding the pu cover !
Also just noticed a Micro tilt hole..

Dunno about that, the serial number puts it at 1992/1993 (I think), but I thought the US deluxes were strung through the body. I may be wrong, as I'm no fender expert, but there are mixed reviews of these 'Boner' basses.

The 'block inlays and no bindings' rosewood board looks like it's come off a 70's Japanese Ibanez or similar…
