Hi. I am looking to sell this bass has I no longer play 5 strings. Nothing has been changed on the bass (all stock) and it is in very good condition. I am looking for £150 and I am in Coventry. This bass also comes with a gig bag.

This bass can now be delivered for £25. No Paypal please - I would want cash in hand (if picked up) or a cheque (if delivered); please allow 5 days for clearence.

There are some pictures below of the bass and there is nothing that affects playability, just a few minor scracthes on the back and very small blemishes on the bridge and machine heads but as said these are very minor things. Otherwise the bass is in good condition and is great to play. The RBX765 was the predecessor to the RBX775. The bass colour is translucent blue.

If you are interested in buying the bass PM me.

PM me if you have any questions.

Tom

"pick up only" is the kiss of death on ebay. I've posted lots of instruments with no disasters. Mountains of bubble wrap, broken up cardboard boxes, gaffa tape aplenty and you're laughing. A pain in the posterior, but it'll get it shifted. If I didn't hate the necks on RBXs, I'd have it at that price :-) Anyway, have a bump.

I live in Leicester, so Coventry is feasible. Though, I don't own a car. How far are you from the train station or poole meadows coach station? I'd prefer to travel not so that I can save the postage, but so that I could try out the bass.

At present I don't have a bass! I have the "Bass Guitar for Dummies" book and am running through exercises on the lower four strings of my six string. I was going to put myself out of my misery by buying an Aria STB PB bass for the reasons that it's cheap, is said to be competently made, and would mean that I'd have a bass here. I'm not planning to learn to be Jaco, I would just like to be able to play vaguely competent lead, rhythm, and bass, and be able to record songs. Not at professional quality. Previously I was thinking that a Yammie RBX170 would be my purchase. I like the idea of a five string, but don't want to drop a wad, and have heard that cheap five string basses can be problematic. E.g. does your 765 have the boominess on the 5th string that some have reported: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/archive/inde...p/t-122641.html. And do you have trouble getting the battery to fit properly? http://www.bgra.net/2004/review.php?id=1373&type=bass. I'm really after a pretty normal rock/pop bass sound. I don't like the "metallic" metal sound. The RBX170 had that metal sound a bit with some tone/pickup settings, but I could dial that sound out and get a range of tones that I liked.

So, the ball's in your court. Let's see you sell me your bass.

Edit: In case this looks too "aggressive", I meant "the ball's in your court" in a joking sort of way. And the reviews were generally quite positive, or I wouldn't have posted here. There were just some minor niggles, the ones I asked about.

Sorry about me being impatient. But I'd been trying to buy a bass for a long while. Your bass looks a great deal and I'm sure someone will grab it.
