One rare bird from France. For sale is this lovely jazz 66 replica, handmade by John Elliot in 2010 – though I purchased this one in late 2011. Lollypops keys put aside, it is a very faithful replica of a Fender vintage.

Genuine specs, with veneer rosewood fingerboard, binding and perloid marks, full nitro lacquer, period correct buttons, celluloid pickguard... and a magnificent relicing work. Every pieces of this bass were artificially aged, except fingerboard and frets of course. A real nice job, performed with both taste and consistency. For instance the wear on the body subtly reveals the white primer and wood layer which is worn itself . And it's also very comfortable: the broken in feel of the neck makes it very easy to play and is similar to old Fender feel.

It's a great instrument too. Fret levelling is perfect, trussrod has very little work, you can get a low action without worry. Its weight is about 4.3 kg, perfect balance too. John put Voodoo grey bottom on this one. Nice definition in the bottom, wide-opened highs and agressive meds, all well highlighted by the fine rosewood fingerboard. Great jazz tones.
It's yours for 1550 GBP, hiscox case and extra celluloid tortoise which is John's too included.

My phone is not so good with pics (wrong white balance), here you got one with tortoise pickguard.
Dakota red of John's pics is more faithful. More pics on this link : http://www.bravewood...akotaJtype.html

As for the condition, it's just like it was when I received the parcel. Let's say “new”. I can send it to European countries in a strong parcel, extra fees on your side.

As for me, I didn't post much on BC – not so good in english -, but I made a few deals here with lapolpora and loudandclear.
A link to my profile on a French forum – not many details sorry: http://forum.onlybas...hoochiekoochie/
