Capo annoyance

All that fiddly music theory stuff annoys me, it just seems so unnecessary. Cb and Fb? Oh, you mean B and E? What do you mean they're not the same? Show me the Cb key on a piano that isn't also the B key, then I'll believe they're not the same.

I think the OP's point - as was mine from bitter experience - was that a lot of players who use capos don't understand enough about music theory to know what they are playing once they've done it.

I'm pretty sure capos aren't inherently evil.......maybe.

[RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE]

One of the bands i was in kept changing keys &capos everybother week. I go home , practice for next rehearsal, then find tuning altered again! Slightly annoying when taking a 4 string headless bass for travelling on public transport.Maybe if i had a five string at the time, it wouldnt have been so frustrating .
