Excellent pair of basses - What's the difference on the jazz to the normal MIM models?[/quote] the build quality is much better than a standard MIM in all respects,infact its better than any Jap fenders i've owned before. decent hardware,nice slim vintage style frets (i don't like the modern medium jombo jobbies)the pickups sound really good-no need to replace them at all. nice tight neck joint,beautiful neck (slightly deeper than a modern jazz) with very good fretwork,no sharp edges anywere. it plays really well,as well as a good MIA fender IMHO,in fact if you played it without knowing its an MIM i'd wager that you'd think it was a US reissue. and as for the paint/laquer finish-absolutley flawless,they most definately put a good deal of work into these basses,they do a 50's Precision too----on no i'm gasing again all in all i'm really pleased with this bass its a keeper & a bargain at £549.00 to boot.
