Bought a fretless bass on basschat a few weeks ago.

I have no need for the neck or strings as I have bought a fretted neck so the neck & strings will be sold.

I'm really interested, I have a lined allparts neck. But I'm unsure if its ebony or ebenal. I was told it was ebony when I got it years ago, or sure though. How does ebonal compare to ebony?

Thanks

Hi mate, I have no idea. Sorry :( ,

I bought a fretless bass a few weeks ago on Basschat but I have since bought a fretted neck.

Maybe someone on here would know but I really can't help.

No visible grain so I guess its Ebanol :)

Yup, just been looking online and mine's Ebanol too. These things sound incredible on any bass - mine's on an AXL Jazz bass copy with inexpensive PUPS and a cheap Artec pre.

Best sounding (and playing) fretless I've ever had. If I didn't need a fretted bass for my classic rock covers band then I'd have had this for a second fretless bass.
