neck bolts pushing through the neck

I've been told the bottom 2 neck bolts have pushed through a bit causing the dimples (or dots) in the pic.

The neck is still solid, and there doesn't seem to be any iisue with the sound. Is this something I should be bothered about, and will it affect value if I decide to sell?

cheers.

How strange that a manufacturer would use bolts (screws?) that are too long! Despite not affecting the sound/playability, I'd say that some would be put off.

If you can find slightly shorter screws, that's the obvious solution. Alternatively, you could use a hacksaw to take a few mil off them. All you need to do is take the point off, it's no longer needed now that the holes have already been 'tapped'.

Once that is done, you can flatten the dimples using the face of a hammer, and maybe a very light sanding - but be careful! - remember that there is not much wood there!

Could you get one of those spacers for putting between the body and the neck plate so the screws don't go in so far? That said, I don't know if that'll work, I'm not actually sure what those wee cushions are for! :D Without wishing to hijack the thread, can anyone enlighten me?

Maybe the other two screws are shorter and someone has had the neck off and put them in the wrong places.

I like the way you think, sir.
