I recommend you go for a head and cab as it allows you freedom to chop and change a bit. Buy secondhand if you can though as you'll usually get back what you paid. ern500evo Posted February 9, 2012 Share Posted February 9, 2012 I ran an ABM500 (the chrome rackmount one) and an Ashdown 8x10 for years with no reliability issues whatsoever. I still own it now, it lives in our rehearsal room. So have fun and enjoy! One thing, not sure what sort of tone you're after but i found that when i added an Ashdown Hyperdrive pedal to the set-up it really brought the amp to life and gave it some grit. Just a thought!
