2012 Fender Price Increase

Just had word through at work yesterday that Fender are increasing some of their prices again (as they do once a year). Only a small number of products required an increase, but from previous experience it's likely that other product prices will soon follow suit and have an increase too.

It also seems that they will not be waiting for the end of the financial year as they sometimes do and the increase looks to be around 10-15%.

So, a small heads up for the BC community... If you're thinking of buying Fender in the near future, do it quick and save yourself some money!

Buy second hand and save yourself even more!

The price increase also tends to push up the value of second hand instruments slightly.

It is insane that the new American Select Jazz Bass retails for around £1800 when you could buy a second hand vintage Fender for not much more!

I wouldn't buy the USA Fenders out of principle - the prices here are ridiculous.

Anyone know when exactly the increase is going to happen?

Just had a quick scan on the 'net - the Road Worns are nearly £1000! Couple of years back they were far less.....

With wages being worth less, and everything else going up, who's going to have the cash for a new bass with yet another increase? :secret:
