It doesn't normally bother me much, I just play and enjoy it. But I hear something like that and I don't know where to start to go about getting a tone like that or even the scales used. KingBollock Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 The trouble is that I think about it too much, I need to trust my fingers and feelings. I've just put my Bass down after messing about until I did get a similar tone that I liked and while I don't know what scale I was messing about with, I got the notes I wanted. What matters is that you tried and you took something away from it, its now sat in your subconscious library of bass . You've just been influenced.
