You should keep this and try and find a Warwick enthusiast. £1000 silly price to let that go for.
Tell me about it, even on the Warwick forum where this is now listed, little to nothing is moving for over the £1k threshold. I've rounded it up on there to 1200euros, should generate some interest I hope (and the equivalent on TalkBass).

The condition let's the price down a bit, and I think the several hundred I have knocked off the price to reflect this is definitely more than fair. As much as I would like to sell this for more it just wasn't generating the interest at £1100 + case + shipping, and it needs to go so I can fund buying another one, if only I could win Euromillions tomorrow night.

evening bumpage - I appreciate there is now direct competition for this bass on this very thread section. For anyone who might be choosing between them, I would argue for not much more outlay you get a unique bass rather than an off the shelf model, which is nicer in so many ways, as well as a brand new case and fully insured shipping thrown into the bargain.

and now on Warwick's official forum here: http://forum.warwick.de/24-bass-stuff/1492...de-germany.html
If I had a spare £1000 I would buy this. Its worth so much more.

I hate the economy. On the upside the slow sake of 1k+ basses means I'm keeping my Big Al :)
Thank you, PB, if you fancy getting a loan, or digging deep into an overdraft, let me know :)

You've seen what guys have independently said above about this bass and the price I'm asking. I literally can't go any lower, but remember this £1000 includes fully insured shipping and a brand new hardfoam case, what more could you possibly want?

You are of course welcome to come and try it if you are interested - I'm in West Brompton in South West/Central London

I'm sure you guys are as sick of reading bumps as I am of bumping it. You've got guys saying this is an absolute steal, which it is. So please, dig deep, find that spare 1k down the back of your sofa (read as: overdraft) and help me out. I'm not taking offers on this because the price is sillily low enough as it is. I want to sell so I can buy the same bass with alternate wood selection, that is all. I have a private seller holding the other bass for me and don't want to mess him around so get in now and get yourself a great bass from me!
Careful with ebay, have you used a calculator to work out roughly the fees? They are stupid now.
Thanks for the warning, I have looked, it'll be a £40 hit (the max final value fee they can impose on this type of listing). I've also mentioned on the listing that if a recognised member buys it from me on here or talkbass i'd gladly make a donation of £20 to the site rather than pay evilbay.

You have to go through Paypal now as well don't you? So that would bump the fees up again?

I've not been able to get on with the chunkier necks on the newer Warwicks for a few years now due to wrist problems, it's the reason I got rid of my 03 thumb & eventually got a 91. Plus I'm having to get rid of gear at the mo due to cash problems.

Tbh dude you've got a bass you love, which is an awesome piece of kit & some thing a bit special. Therefore though you really want some thing else I think you'd be mad to get rid of this at a rock bottom price.
I have to agree. This is a beautiful bass and it's going for too cheap. If it were me, I'd keep this one. In my humble honest opinion...
I do love it and it is cheap at the price, and I appreciate the kind words a lot guys, it's just time for me and this one. I've had it 5 years and and fancy a slight change for the next 5. The one I'm planning to buy with the proceeds is a 5 string Corvette $$ Special Edition, the thing will feel very much the same but it has a different finish, and different wood selection, just a nice variation for the next 5 years. It is 1 of only 4 made so is essentially as rare as this one off custom, and unfortunately unless I win Euromillions this eve I cannot afford both.

Had one bloke offered me a trade for his thing, which was up for sale. I said no but he could of course come back if his sold (it was a bit obscure but up for the same price).
Had some other american who was actively looking for an ocean blue 5er corvette $$, seemed very interested etc etc but not had a reply in a week so not sure what's going on there.

The other guy is Argentinian, who is working in Austria in Sept/Oct. He has suggested coming to London for it and I have said I'm happy to do that or post or go to Austria if the flights are cheap enough, but would rather sell it to a BCer (and ideally within the UK) if I can. Be nice to keep it here, and also, I may well be interested in buying it back in a few years time!
This really chimes in with my point the other day lol.
Yup :)

Played it at a gig last night, these basses are so great. We had a drummer crisis so decided to do the set acoustic last minute - no problem, just whacked both pickups into single coil, rolled off the treble and I had myself a Jazz bass.
