The instrument was poorly finished and unbalanced, had the cheapo feeling, that was enough, I never found out what it sounded like. OP - I got mine for the starting bid a week ago, It was totally worth the money, I say go for it! The pickups arent as bad as people say they are. However you may get a chrome hardware 6 string not the black it shows, Mine was chrome when it says it would be black, but NVM. ALso the strings that come on the bass are some Thick D'darios.
