I'm based in Nottingham and have been playing serious (if you can call it that) bass for about 5 years now. I have been in a local band (CAPONE? anyone) for about 3 years where we drank alot and kind of forgot what we were supposed to be playing in front of curious local folk. But we did play some great venues like Boat club, old angel, castle festival etc.... anyway, I am now in a boring covers band but we are fairly good and play some good local gigs. I have owned LOADS of basses from cheap ones that fell apart on stage (true, one actually fell apart while performing) to Gibsons which I did not dare strum in case I scratched the newness off. I tended to be fairly excentric on stage so have had lots of shiny basses with LEDs but now have had to calm down due to the audience we tend to play too (covers bands do not suit korg kaoss fitted j basses)!. anyway hope to speak to you all soon.
