leather gig bags

Does anyone on here know of any good leather bass gig bags? Got a Warwick Premium line at the mo but it's at the end of it's life almost (zip went this morning and got 2 holes in the bottom).

I want to go a little upmarket with whatever I replace it with, and preferably I want full genuine leather, but the only two I can come across are Bernie Goodfellows which I've no idea about, but look expensive, and then Levy's which ARE expensive. Obviously I don't want to skimp, but Levy's is out of my budget.

Anyone any ideas? :)

The ones Bernie goodfellow is selling are the harvest ones, which are very expensive (but gorgeous) but he was selling them at last years bass day for £220 which is a fantastic price i was well sick as id just bought an igig bag ( £160 from bass direct) but thay are fantastic too, so all is well, i can really recommend the igig loads of pockets and very tough and most importantly the tweed one looks very cool :)

Awesome, cheers for that  £220 is a little out of my budget, so I reckon that's my christmas present request sorted :)

I had a look around and my dad suggested Thomann.com, so had a look there and there's a couple of nice options, one of which is the Warwick Premium leather gig bags, should be £275 and they're selling for £140 at the moment! :)
cheers for the link eude, they look quite sweet to be honest!
No bother at all matey.
They do custom work and they have standard sizes and shapes too.
Really really impressed with the workmanship.
The zips on the pockets are a little puny, but you could ask them to use the same as they do on the main bit, I will when I order my next one.
The quality of leather is amazing, nothing subtle or delicate about it, just big slabs of very thick material, never seen anything like it, perfect for protecting your bass :)
Couple of questions, I'll presume judging by the price they're coming from america, so how much did you have to pay in import duties and stuff?

Also, can you possibly stick some pics up of yours inside and out? :)

Cheers, Dave
Hey Dave,
I can't recall the exact figures now, but it ended up costing about £135 all in, but at the time the dollar was pretty weak.
Dave Perry on here recently ordered one, so you might be able to get a better estimate from him.

The bags are paid for in the states and made in South America, can't recall exactly where though.

You'll have to be patient with me RE pics I'm afraid, I'm not home during daylight hours at the moment, so getting a decent pic will be tough.
Here's a pics of some of my gear to get started though >> http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=904935
It's in the back there.

For more pics and info, there's some stuff on talkbass >> http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showpost.php...amp;postcount=3
and Probag used to make the bags for Low End too >> http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...ighlight=probag - exactly the same stuff...

Will try to sort out pics when I can.

Hey Goblin
Thanks for the link to the Thomann Warwick bags! My Mrs. has just bagged (sorry!) me one for xmas. It arrived today and looks the absolute b*llocks!
It's got loads of storage to organise all your bits - pens, music, picks, duster, you get the picture. Great padding too.
I'd say it is a total bargain, and I'm really looking forward to Xmas this year - it's a cracker! (sorry again!)

No probs. I put it on the scales an it weighs 8lbs exactly, I know folks like to know these things! I think it has some kind of water proof, or resistant lining too - "RokTex, our patented water-resistant material" apparently...
