If you have a chance have a go on a Vintage (make) "Jaco" icon series jazz bass, bat well above their price, got one myself a it's a keeper. Come up on the bay s/h now and again usually £150.00 ish.

Same as above, had a set put on my jazz about 3 years ago and have had no problems at all.

If it was 1972 it was probably the Demons and Wizards album , with Gary Thain ( the late, great ) on bass. Is the track your on about Easy Livin? Edit spelling, cannot spell bloody "easy"

THe late Gary Thain (Uriah Heep). I was a big Heep fan (still am) his playing was very so melodic and it just fitted the song a treat, I said I could do that, I'm still trying too.
