1. I'll just leave this here: Hearing Cliff in pure isolation both brings out his genius but also that he was not flawless, especially on the earlier albums but when it's all mixed together you'd never know. As his contemporaries at the time (Harris, Butler, Geddy, etc...) Cliff was very different and fresh, out of the Thrash scene there were no other bassists with a classical music education quite as literate as his. He was behind most of Metallica's early classics in some form (Battery Intro, Fight Fire With Fire Intro, MoP middle section, Orion, Damage Inc. intro, Call of Kthulu, etc...) and it is noticeable in how songs were arranged and written without him. Best example is the middle section on To Live Is To Die, i believe was written whilst Cliff was still alive, you can hear his classical influence. After AJFA thats when James and Lars completely took over the song writing process. Poor Jason was pretty much a hired hand throughout his tenure and is greatly underrated for both his playing and how much he added to Metallica as a live band for 14/15 years. Just wait for the AJFA remaster though, his playing is going to surprise a lot of people.
2. Hey guys, So I've had this since last Christmas and I've been using in conjunction with my Strymon Flint as I tend to write ambient music. It has done it's job fantastically (especially with the golden ratio setting, which is what I've used 90% of the time) but I don't feel I'm using it to it's full potential. Ideally, I would love to trade this for a Strymon Blue Sky as having another reverb would be more beneficial to me. So primarily this is only for trade for now, I'm open to offers of any other boutique reverb pedals. This pedal is practically mint, it has only come off of my pedalboard a couple of times and has no velcro or anything attached to the bottom. It comes with the box and original un-opened power supply. I have quite a few videos on my Instagram using the DIG along with the Flint which will hopefully give you an idea as to how I use this pedal: https://www.instagram.com/pthbass89/ But, Strymon's own video demos of the pedal are great at showing off it's full potential: Pics: Price: £200 plus P&P. Any other questions please just ask Thanks, Josh.
3.
If that's a GK RB1001 amp head you're using with it then I could probably hear it up hear in Northumberland! 😂 GLWTS.
RB700, so plenty loud enough. I've never pushed it above a quarter volume because that's more than enough just for noodling at home!

5.
This aint gone??? nuts , would be excellent for a practice rooms permanent fixture
The curse of being in Somerset I'm afraid.
6. Hey guys, I'm looking to downsize as the reality is this amp is way too large to only play at home, it's been great fun having it but I now need something much more portable. The reason I'm selling this so cheap is that it has seen a lot of action, it is fairly tatty and unfortunately one of the wheels on the back was sheared off before I owned it, but it would be simple and cheap replacement. Aside from the cosmetic damage it still works absolutely fine, all connections on the back work perfectly fine. Also, being a 8x10 this is a collection only, from Bridgwater, Somerset. Pics: Thanks, Josh.
7. Danny Growl. From what I've seen from his videos over the years, he goes as far as to get everything in Sheehan's backline at one point. That's a lot of time and money spent to ultimately sound and play like someone else IMHO.

9. Thanks for the advice and info guys, fortunately the buzzing has been solved. It must've had a slight over-bow as when I loosened the truss rod slightly, the buzzing disappeared. Just for clarity, being a 1991 Streamer it has a brass Just-A-Nut 1, the original nut saddle screw had lost its thread so it needed replacing regardless of the buzz. The only reason as to why I've asked about the output difference on the pick ups is that any other active PJ bass I've had there was never as much of a difference in volume when either is soloed. On my Lakland the bridge is just as loud as the neck pick up, two previous Streamer LX's also had a more balanced output.
10. Hey guys, I'm currently in the middle of a trade for the bass in question, fortunately the seller has been kind enough to send me the bass first to make sure I'm happy with it, before doing so he did inform me of a slight problem which would only be a quick fix, which unfortunately now hasn't been the case. The first issue is that there is significant buzzing at the first fret on the E string, the seller said that it might just require a new JAN saddle. I received the new saddle for the JAN today and installed it and the buzzing is still very much there. I've tried raising the action at the bridge and the bridge itself to compensate but it's still there. Raising the height of the JAN saddle dosen't make a difference either. So, me and the seller are guessing it might require some fret work if it is indeed related to being worn out after 25 years of use. Or does it sound like it might need a slight tweak of the truss rod? The second issue is that the bridge pick up has a seriously low output compared to the neck pick up. I've tried raising the bridge pick up and it has made no difference. It obviously is working as when the blend is set to the centre you can hear it, but as soon as the bridge is soloed it becomes very weak. Could this be attributed to 25 years of wear and tear and needs new soldering? Thanks all, Josh.
11. Hey guys, Since having a Strymon Dig, I have had little to no use for this pedal as holding the tap tempo switch does exactly the same job on the Dig. I'd still be keeping it if I didn't have that facility though as it is a great pedal for practicing over chords and for building ambient textures, which was the primary reason I bought it for and it did a fantastic job. It has lived on my pedal board since it arrived and has never left the house, so the pedal and box are both in mint condition and the 9 volt adapter is still in its wrapping. Pics: Price: I'm after £60 which includes postage. Thanks, Josh.
12. I've vowed to never buy anything from PMT Online after my experience with them, summarised in my Facebook post from almost 2 years ago in regards to a USA Fender jazz I bought on finance with a £570 deposit: "Well that USA Fender I bought back in April turned out to be a dud (through-body stringing furrels fell out upon changing the stock strings, dull tone, average playability) so I arranged to have it sent back and be refunded, it took about 2 weeks to have it collected which was dealt by another company; Dolphin Music. It took another 2 weeks or more for them fix the fault and were ready to send it back to me despite the fact I had stated and was entitled to a refund. They then returned it to PMT and they would then sort out my refund. All the while I was the one doing all of the ringing despite being told they'd ring me. When I then rung up to find out what was going on, that was about June time, this time another bloke was actually almost helpful and said he could actually order me in a bass that they don't stock, I said I was interested in a Lakland 55-60 and he said they could get one to me by the end of July (Coming in from Chicago) and on the same finance as before for no extra money. Skip on a few months and basically the bass hasn't left the US and I have been practically lied to by this guy, he never rings me back when he says he will. I rang up today at 2ish and the guy said he'll ring me back in about 10 minutes, so I rang up again at 5:30 and found out the guy he's dealing with is off until Thursday and will find out what's going on then. I might be a pessimistic/negative/bitter git but I generally have a good amount of patience but I think I've been beyond lenient with this whole thing and basically I've said if I find out it'll be more than a week then I want my refund". I did finally recieve the bass by September 10th, that post was from September 2nd. In that time they still failed to phone me and also lied about the bass coming in on a shipment to the much superior, Guitarguitar. After all of this I got a call a week after recieving the bass saying they felt bad about how long it took (no mention of an apology for the total lack of professionalism) and gave me a £50 voucher...to only be used online. The moral of my story: Always shop with Guitarguitar, they are superior in every way.
13.
Did the memory toy have the volume drop when you got it?
Not necessarily, I recall it having only a very slight volume drop, the problem it had was the modulation switch was set so that it gave the delay a horrible detuned sound which was unusable for me. I found the correct trim pot for the modulation and managed to sort that one out. It's been since then that I've noticed a severe drop in volume. It is ironic as I've read that most guitarist have the opposite problem, there seems to be a volume boost as opposed to a drop.
14. Hey guys, These pedals have been seeing less use lately and both have minor faults which may require some attention, but these could also be good for someone who likes to experiment and fiddle with their pedals. The BMP must have a loose connection somewhere as there is a significant change in tone and as such I need to have the controls pretty much maxed out to get a useable tone. This bought secondhand from another member on here and was working perfectly fine, something must've happened in the time I've owned it that has caused the problem. The fault with the MT is merely a large volume drop when it is engaged. I did a bit of research and there is a large array of dip switches which alter different frequencies, the feedback and the modulation setting, which may rectify the volume issue. Despite the issues the pedals are usable and are both in good used condition and are both supplied with their boxes. Pics: Price: £20 each, includes postage. Anymore questions please ask Thanks, Josh.
15. Thrash, every time. Whilst I respect some aspects of Glam metal, the aggression and speed of thrash will always be far more appealing, and soothing.
