    I'm currently after a double bass but can't really afford a half decent one on my budget,but a luthier friend of mine has said that if I can get hold of an old b&h laminate or something of that ilk that's been terrorised and maybe even has the neck off he will sort out for me free of charge! Which is great news but I still need the bass so if you have anything that fits the description then please let me know.

    For sale my trace 2x10,this is the carpet covered one with the adjustable horn.it's 200 watts at 8ohms. The carpet on this is practically like new,the grill on the other hand is a little scratched,but nothing more than you would expect for a 15 year old cab. I'm after a very reasonable £100 for this ideally collected from Kettering in northants,I can courier but I'm guessing it would add about another £20. I will get pics up when I get a chance.

[/quote] they certainly are scratchy but my boomers have red silks at the tip and ball end of the string. edit: i have an old set of boomers if you want them to test out before you pull the trigger on a new set of strings you may not want!

    I'm of the same thinking but we also have another small pa comprising of 2 powered tops so it needs to compliment that as well.

    ha! to be fair there are only 3 of us and no drummer so anything massive isn't really that necessary.

    Not sure if this is the right forum but anyway...... im after a powered sub for my pa,im running a pretty standard system (power amp/mixer/2 ev stage 200's) but i want to add a bit of umph for bigger rooms. I had a play with a roland one in a shop the other day and quite liked it as it had a built in crossover and was small and relativley light so anything along those lines im after and open to suggestion.

    For sale again after my buyer dropped out is my cij fretless jazz. Its the non export model with the vintage reverse tuners and american electrics and plays and sounds like a peach. Bass weighs 4.4kg/9.7lbs (very respectable for an alder body) Its in really lovely condition baring a small knock (pictured) at the top of the headstock,fitted with rounds but with minimal wear to the board. Fitted with a badass 2,which on there own seem to fetching silly money at the mo! I'm after a very reasonable £420 for this posted, the bass will be sent extremely well packed with the neck off as this bass doesn't come with a case,no trades I'm afraid as i just need the cash.
