I'm pretty happy with my rigs ATM, but if I was to happen across an old aria sb series at a good price....
I'm also looking to get the new boss fb2 and am looking forward to seeing what is being released at namm soon including the new mxr bass fuzz deluxe
I am the happiest with all of my gear that I ever have been, and can't really think of anything else that I would want! -
I always used to use the syb5 with exp pedal and an octave to get the effect on that song
-
Have you considered the ibanez btb series. I don't have dims, but the neck is pretty wide at the nut
-
pretty much as in the title really -
Is there a pickup with a similar output / tone, or will i have to get another spb3?
All replies and suggestions greatly appreciated
cheers -
lovely bass dude!but reading the title thought it might be something like this-

i know its pricey but the darkglass b7k would fit the bill

How black was my sabbath
The hammer of the gods
Or the dirt by motley Crüe are all pretty good reads
Sorry, but I dont recall who wrote the other two! They are both pretty easy to find -
Another vote here for the DBS. I've not used either of the others, but since I've had my 7200, I've had no issues, considering that I play with a drummer louder than an earthquake and two full stacked guitarists. My sound is always clear and punchy

Would have been rudy Sarzo iirc
Colin hodgkinson always played a P with whitesnake -
I picked up a secondhand Seymour spb3 on here for £35.
Sounds great in my rebuild Westfield. I'm continually getting compliments on it's sound -
Thanks mate. Will see if I can raise the necessary

Which red box model is it please?

Me too. I learned cello in school, but lefty is not an option with the violin family- no real idea why!
It makes total sense to me to have my strong hand on the neck.
Ive tried to learn lefty but I can only do very simple stuff.
Btw I write left, bat (cricket/ rounders etc) either way, but use a mouse with my right
I wah with my left foot too now I think of it! -

This weeks board. New appearance for the b3k, but my wife seems to have commandeered my bass comp for her sax board! -
Perhaps a boost pedal for the tapping section might be a better solution?
-
I use the mxr black label chorus. It's also marketed as the analog chorus. It isn't bass spacific, but it sounds wonderful!

My wife runs through a line 6 wireless via a boss ve20 to pa. I would suggest perhaps a keyboard amp would be a more appropriate way to amp it without using pa support.
As an aside, my wife has started to use my mxr bass comp. It sounds great with a sax! -
I picked up a sb p on eBay for about £60 Inc, popped some decent strings on it and a sd spb3, and I gets lots of use alongside my USA and mij p lyte.
Really good bass for the money tbh.
I did change the logo on the headstock too! It's now a fecker pretender -
do you have a price?
-
either a maple board or a proper marshall, rather than that guitar thing?

I have a cc and have been using it for over a year now. The darker character really suits my rig
I have also tried the aquapuss, and I absolutely loved it- not enough to r
Solace the cc though.
I have also got a memory toy. A great delay for the money, but the cc was in a different class to my ears
