I always had the same problem. As mentioned above the dry mode is the way forward.
The bfd I find to be more versatile. With the separate controls for dry and fuzz give some really thick sounds in the mix -
Dudgeman- are you using the ve20 for vox or something else mate?
-
It was great to meet you Ant.
I'm looking forward to seeing you grow and improve! -
Fair points about the auto wahs, I was trying to make a sweeping generalisation to emphasise the differences between pedal and actual wah.
Point taken! -
It's also important to recognise the difference between auto wahs/ envelope filters and wah pedals.
The wah pedal relies on the movement of your foot to change the tone, whereas the auto wahs and filters use a preset threshold where the peak of our playing controls the change in tone
I hope this makes sense -
As does the ibanez weeping demon

So it's happening then!
Looking forward to more details - and perhaps a slap ban! -
On a budget, the Marshall echo head works well and can be found s/h for about £35. It only does delay, but it has six modes including quite a tasty analog emulation and can use tap tempo.
Reverb wise, the Marshall reflector does it's job well on a budget.
The Mooer Ana delay seems to be being mentioned a lot in these parts, and the ehx memory toy does well for its money.

Useful clarification there.
Thank you -
I saw mark hoppus from blink 182 using one once.
Thats the highbrow player content for this thread done :-) -
I've resigned myself to the same thing now. I'm actively looking for a donor pedal to provide the knobs.
-
Maybe it'll work for the spandau ballet stuff in the function band set

I emailed digitech yesterday asking about replacement knobs for a meatbox, whether they have stock / know of a source etc...... And I got this reply:
Chris,
Unfortunately, we have no more knobs for the DOD Meatbox.
Regards,
DOD Support
Helpful huh? -
For 6k it would have to be more than I pack of super noodles!

I've had issues with them getting fender parts from the states.
The blend / balance pot on my mij p lyte's shaft disintegrated, and needed a replacement.
Despite ordering and getting the out of stock reply, this went on for a couple of months.
It only got rectified when I spoke to someone on their stand at a trade show. Once I spoke to them it was delivered at the agreed time.
It's a shame that they are the 'proper' fender spares people -
Pm on the way re tuners

I've been on the lookout for one to 'tidy' my meat box up.
I've had a wanted ad up for ages but no joy as yet.
If any one has another spare ( or source of a spare!) please drop me a pm -
Congrats on the meat box shep- hope you didn't get stung for too much. They have been goin for £200+ on eBay!

A sweatband works for me

As far as I can glean VHF signals are unaffected by the digital switchover

Hey chaps
A friend of mine lent his x2 system to someone and it came back with the socket on the transmitter broken.
Does anyone know of somewhere I might be able to score some spare parts? -
Aston 'family man' Barrett iirc
