I've been using my fecker p bass to record recently. The engineer could not believe the amount of low low end that was coming in.
It's basically a cheapy body with an spb3 quarter pounder pup.
Perhaps that's the answer if you're still not getting the sound you're after. Please try tweaking the pup and stuff first though. -
Apparently effectspowersupplies have them

my go to chorus is the mxr black label chorus / analog chorus (both the same pedal but different paint jobs!)
and i have just got hold of the mooer ensemble king - very nice and only £59 retail!
Ive been using velcro for mine, but friends have used the bicycle chain method to great effect (!) -
im fortunate enough to own both a 7200 and 7400.
they are not going anywhere (except to gigs ) -
I've been using an x2 system for years now. Totally reliable and possible to power using a 9 v in the transmitter and a 9v in the receiver.
Love it. -
Such a shame.
I still love marshall bass gear. Lets hope they put the name on something good -
I've always pointed students down the dry cleaner route with this problem. Last one that went to get a zip fixed cost them £11

Looks nice, and functional

Spurtocaster?

Has mdp joined our merry band under a pseudonym?

Thanks for posting the vid. Very interesting.
Also it looks like a guitar gym bucket in the neck of that bass. Any ideas as to the specifics? -
Dod fx72 stereo bass flanger.
The only flanger ill ever use ( maybe ) -
Well said lozz.
Their bass offerings have been consistently good- unlike some of the guitar models.
I hear in the ole grape vine we might not see marshall bass amps around in favour of Eden ( although I'm hoping they still will do an all valve amp!) -
Got tix for both days

Perhaps the ashdown drive plus might be a good place to start considering your criteria.
The ebs multidrive could be a good option as well
The ashdown seems to go for around £40 ish s/h, and the ebs around £75
Edit: just realised your boss size consideration. The ashdown is a little larger than a boss pedal. -
I know Steve Harris had a couple of the off the shelf fender sig models as backups on the British lion tour earlier this year.
I know it's a tweaked p bass, but, ignoring the scribble on the back of the headstock, it has to be THE best p bass I have ever played. -
The jubilee series was the first rig I gassed after as my ultimate dream system, until the DBS came out that is.
They seem to have a reasonable following, as with most vintage marshall gear.
I'm certain someone will add some more info about pricing etc.
good luck with this mate -
Dave made me a series box for my rig.
Super swift production and delivery. Once again Dave wins. Definitely one of the pillars of this community ! -
Aren't they what John deacon used?
-
I've had a bfd for over a year now.
I've never got lost in the mix and there even seems to be a bottom end boost as well.
For a previous non fuzz user, I'm very happy with it -
Rush up until snakes and arrows
-
I tried the fog bass fuzz from mooer the other day and I was pretty impressed.
Almost instantly I found a passable 'time is running out' type sound. At £60 ish, it's gotta be worth a try
Where to get 9v li-ion Rechargeable Batteries?
in Accessories and Misc
Posted
I've been using li ion batteries in my wirelesses for about 7 years. I get two or three full sets from one battery before recharging and they charge, when required in less than an hour.
In active basses I stick with a decent 9v disposable battery (normally Duracell or energizer)
When I do buy li ion batteries I get them from eBay via china with no issues. They cost me around £15 for two 500 (ish) mah along with a charger and adaptor
