1. OMG ! That fretted is loverly.... Don't know what happened between you and Mr Smith but I had a bass built by a person who became very unhelpful and nasty. Couldn't keep the bass after that ! Every time I pick it up it would remind me of what happened and I would get upset and angry. Shame.
2.
I've used ParcelForce successfully to ship to Italy and other European countries 2 or 3 times . When shipping, detune the bass and make sure that the bass is completely protected in something like bubble-wrap. If in a hard case, put something like strong foam or cardboard under the headstock and give the neck as much protection as you can generally. I've always tried to send in a hard case if it's going abroad but have used a gig bag on one occassion and that was fine. If it's a gig bag, then the bass needs to be in a strong cardboard box that is very securely taped up using gaffa tape or similar if you can.. Hope that helps..
Thanks buddy, It's being sent to Italy ! Quite expensive instrument so a bit nervous about the whole shipping thing. Some very good advice. Cheers

5. I have EBS HD 350. Highly recommend these fantastic heads. I've had many different amps over the years, SWR, Ampeg, Trace, etc .... Personally I love my EBS.
6. I also played this at the bass gallery. Really nice bass. It is a 33 inch scale, yes ?

11. This is my Wal Mk 2 custom fretted. Built 1996. I bought her in 1998. Mahogany body, padauk facing, rosewood fingerboard. She has been well looked after over the years but has sustained a few minor knocks to the body as you can see in the pictures. I'm sure I don't need to explain to you fellow bass players that this is a fantastic bass. Solid, reliable with a huge organic sound. I also have a moulded light weight Wal hardcase. £2,700 No Trades. Cheers
12. Double bass for sale. Borrowed from a friend at christmas but I have decided to stick to electric. 3/4 size. Solid front and back. Made around 1920 we think. She's had a few repairs over the years as you can see from the pic's but works fine & sounds nice to my ears. Gig bag & bow included. I'm based in Brighton. £375 P.S. apologies for the pictures. Taken on my mobile phone.
13. If you change your mind, let me know. I want your bass !!
