1. cheers squire, exactly what i wanted to hear
2. thought i'd dig up this old thread instead of starting a new one... i quite fancy a nasty distortion, and the clips i have heard of the blower box sound fantastic. has anyone tried the blower box AND the COG TK421? If so, does the COG have the ability to get as subbey or bassey as the idiotbox seems to?? cheers
3. ooh yes, bass whammy, tall font and a pile of dark glass, win win win!!!
4. well this being EHX there is the possibility of a pitch fork deluxe, this pedal with separate volume controls and presets, like a POG2, would be a beast...
5. couple of shops have them up for £97, due in stock on tuesday 14th
6. 'tracking' is the new 'biro'
7. does it really matter to anyone other than you? as long as the blend control isn't too limiting (and the transformation function and hardware performance is as good as the uPOG), this looks great, and over on TB they're mooting a price of around $130, so colour me interested.
8. does it really matter? looks a pretty cool pedal, definitely up for giving one a try!
9. woah - if this tracks like a POG then I want one!!!
10. sold, pending the usuals..
11. final price drop...
12. cool, good to know, cheers doddy... just thinking about the idea for now thanks owen..
13. hey - just a quick question on these, I see there is a 6180 (passive) and a 6181 (active) pedal... I use a stingray and a precision, so surely I don't need two different volume pedals?? which will work best for both basses, as the info on the website says one is for passive instruments, one is for actives!! cheers
14. let us know how that pedal works out for you - had very VERY mixed results from Ry's pedals, from utterly amazing to utter meh. but the fuzz wars clip of this pedal made me very interested, so please do post your thoughts!
15. bump - price drop to £110 as I need to sell this bad boy
16. bumparoo. open to sensible offers on this, but as above, no trades thanks...
17.
Love a bit of Om and Lightning Bolt! They play with a guitarist full-time now, but Big Business are definitely noteworthy!
yeah, saw them play in bristol before, very good stuff
18.
Nice to hear that Gaz! I'm starting to feel like I'm in a similar place.. Got other pedals in the cupboard but I've started to question 'do I really need anything else?' I think in my case the answer is, no.
cool. in many ways, with me at least, it's just the addictive personality moving from pedals to DVDs, or to vinyl, or to comics, or to something else, but that aside, I genuinely am 100% happy with each of these pedals, and also my bass and amp - first time in maybe 22 years!! maybe it's just getting old(er)!! what's on your board atm man?
19. so as I live in the effects forum, it felt weird posting a link to a few tracks from my bands new album elsewhere on the forum... but I wanted to link to that thread from here, as I certainly know I never stray out of the FX forums, and I'm really, really chuffed with how the bass sounds on these tracks (lots of fuzz, octaves, etc)... sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, but i'm pretty happy with this http://basschat.co.uk/topic/240898-few-tracks-from-our-new-album/
20. hey all, so thought I'd post a link to our new soundcloud page - 3 tracks from our album here, which we're going to release in the next month or two. really happy with how this has come out, lots of interesting bass sounds (IMO) https://soundcloud.com/first-and-last-men
21. yeah, I definitely think amps and cabs beat FX for sounding big in a small band!
