1. I have CTM 100 and ABM 500 heads. The valve tone on the CTM is sublime (plenty loud enough in the context of a noisy band, and surprisingly portable for a tube amp), but I tend toward the ABM for most regular gigs - especially if I don't know the venue, or when backline needs to be moved on/offstage sharpish. I've tried various combinations of Ashdown cabs. The ABM NEO 210s are hard to beat really - light and very articulate and punchy. Probably just one of the new 1000w sealed versions would do the trick.
2. Bump for price drop. £900 collected (will ship at buyer's expense)
3. I regularly play several venues that have hollow platform stages. Marketing guff aside, the gramma pad makes a very noticeable difference. If its a placebo, then its a convincing one and I'm glad I have it. The puck idea sounds well worth a try as a cheaper / smaller solution - but I know what we'd be doing with them during the drum soundcheck, and a broken window is only a matter of time.
4. Castle Cases do a good job http://www.castlecases.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=183_26
5. I can very much recommend the ABM NEO cabs paired with CTM 100 head. Mine are the ported versions. Its ace having such a beast of a bass stack that I can load in without help.
6. I use ABM NEO 210s - they're fantastic cabs. One is probably enough for most situations, but two is killer. I use them either with an ABM 500 or CTM 100 heads (both in the context of a loud gigging band) and no problems with volume or tone. They run very loud indeed with the abm head. My intial write up here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225578-ncd-ashdown-abm-neo
7.
Great looking bass. Although you apparently aren't saying no, are you interested in trades, and if so, what in particular. A published weight also helps some of the older members with their decision making GLWTS
Thanks for the comments - I've added a footnote to the post about trades & weight.
8. That chrome fronted amp in the "proper" sleeve looks fantastic. I want one!
9. I have two abm neos 210 (fantastic cabs - and sound amazing with either ABM or CTM heads) but they're previous 500w versions with the front port. Looks like the new ones are 1000w and a little bit lighter @ 19kg. Cool.

Straight answer to the OP. Take a look at Ashdown ABM 210 NEO. Fantastic build quality and response. I can't say whether it's exactly flat - but its not overtly coloured, and is very clear and articulate. Sounds ace with my amps and knocks the socks off anything else I've used in the last 2 years. Highly recommended. http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/B/2/ABM/30/ABM-210-NEO/ (edited to include link)
11. I’ve been using ABM gear for years now, and no complaints at all from me. Plus side is that they can sound great (especially for any kind of rock-based stuff), well made, have a very powerful eq, and good connectivity. Downside is the combos are a little bit hefty (which is why I have separates!). Obviously there’s a lot of alternatives around – and if you search this site you’ll see some quite polarised opinions, which often boils down to whether people like the inherent tone or not. These amps do have a certain signature sound. In terms of speakers - I’d say the ABM 210s sound more defined and tighter than the 115s. And with the 300w version, depending on your band, you might need an extra cab to go with a 300 combo (ie another 210) at some point.
12. I have one of these too. Incredible sounding basses. GLWTS
13. [s]£975[/s] [s]£950 [/s] £900 For sale/trade is my USA Musicman Stingray 4HH:

2009, Custom order
Matched headstock
Rosewood fingerboard
3-band EQ
This bass is in a very rare and striking colour – semi-transparent Pacific Blueburst. Depending on the lighting, the colour can look blue, green or turquoise – its hard to capture this in the photos, but really is stunning. The extra pick-up adds an array of useful tones. The bass has been recently strung with a fresh set of EB 45-105s (as originally shipped). The bass is in great condition and hasn’t seen much use (3 gigs and maybe 15 rehearsals). Set-up, tone and play-ability are all A1. There is some plectrum swirling on the pickguard and a scuff / graze on the varnish (approx. 3cm2), I think from a cuff button, above the bridge pup which doesn't show up on the pictures. Includes original Musicman hardshell case (in good condition, some storage marks on the outside). A few pics below (click to enlarge) Preference for straight sale, but happy to consider trades for upmarket P or PJ type bass such as Yamaha 2024/Attitude3, Shuker P etc. Weight comes in at just over 4kg according to bathroom scales. Edit to clarify - neck is maple with rosewood fingerboard (corrected above)
