  1. Have gone down the route of di into mixer so backline has become surplus. I have a little mark 250 black line in its very useful branded carry case, which can also be worn as a backpack if the mood takes you. Great little amp, I’ve used it with 1x12 and 2x10 cabs. I’m in Milton Keynes but travel about a fair bit so would prefer collection or 1/2 way meet. Will post at buyers expense/risk.
  2. Met up with Tim for a Musicman - Dingwall 5 string trade, great communications and a top basschatter.
  3. In a moment of madness I purchased this variax 6 string off the bay, primarily because my line 6 floorboard has a variax socket so I had an interesting afternoon making odd noises and then it went back in its box. It is Chinese made, early model, has a range of modelled guitar tones, using the cat 5 cable into a line 6 device gives you the most options and I will throw in cat 5 cable, it has the socket for one of the lockable cat 5 in a Xlr casing if you have one of those, I also have the adaptor box where you can have a psu providing power to the guitar using a stereo jack lead (not supplied). You can also put a 9v battery in the back of the guitar. You can also have the snazzy red strap. There is a bit of a ding on the headstock, which was there when I got it. Prefer collection or 1/2 way meet. I will post at buyers expense/risk. Open to trades.
  4. I’ve had some interest but if that stalls I’ll record some stuff for you to hear paul b
  5. I don’t, are you anywhere near mk you are welcome to try it without any obligation .
  6. It is very situational. I've done pit gigs and you simply have the music on a stand but when I'm playing at pubs or functions I don't like it. Both the function bands I play with all the singers use music or iPad stands, and in one of them both the guitarists, drummer and keyboard player use them. It shouldn't bother me, but I don't like it. #oldschool
  7. For myself I’ve done a marquee, a function room, the main hall at Hatfield house and pub gigs. Pretty much everything goes through for. It’s not like a rock club system but I play with 2 different 6 piece function bands, and it is a really good system and very compact to move around. But I’m not the guy selling it.
  8. In the way of bass gear, I got new stuff in before moving other stuff on, so now trying to make some room. This is a Indonesian made Stirling SUB 4 string black body maple neck but the previous Basschat owner fitted a passive warman pickup so there is no active eq rather 2 volume controls and a tone pot. The neck has a beautiful low action but I have only ever used it as a string break backup or occasional noodling. No noticeable dings. It has Dunlop straplocks fitted. Not looking for trades, would prefer pick up but I do travel around a fair bit so might be able to drop off/meet. This is a very good price for a very decent bass.
  9. Sorting some gear out, I got this off a fellow basschatter when I was considering a stingray. As it goes the tone is pretty stingray like. 3 band active eq. Nice finish. Subsequently I actually got a stingray so this became surplus. I moved the position of the bottom strap pin as it helped the balance. Collection preferred but I do travel around a fair bit, but postage would be at additional cost. Not looking for trades.
  10. I have the same system, great sound in a very compact package. If I hadn’t already brought one I’d be buying this right now.
  11. Having gone down the RCF compact route this mackie active sub is now looking for a new home, one SRS1500 remains, £250.I have a pole that can sit in the top hat for a top that I’ll throw in. They are pretty hefty so collection or ‘meet 1/2 way’ .I’m in Milton Keynes but travel around a fair bit.
  12. After my full conversion to the church of Dingwall I am looking for a new home for my Stingray 4. It has been used slightly less in the past 3 years as most of my gigs call for a 5 string, but this a great example of music man’s art. Since I have had it it has gone for a pro setup annually and is well looked after. The neck is lovely to play and is a very nice piece of wood. The body paint has a couple of dings which were on it when I got it. I have tried to show on the pics, but they never worried me but I have factored them in on the price. I have fitted Dunlop strap locks and I have a Levy’s strap which I’ll include that has a nice colour match with the bass I am in Milton Keynes and would prefer collection but I am a field service engineer so travel about a fair bit. Postage would be possible but would be a courier of your choosing with the appropriate insurance etc.
  13. Having gone down the Dingwall fan fret route I have found that my Stingray has become my backup bass and it is too good a bass for that. This is a great example of the Music Man stable, burgundy body colour which is apparently pretty rare in the UK. Rosewood fretboard. It has been used but well looked after, no dings. Had pro set up last year. Black scratch plate with black knobs on the 3 band, 9v active eq. It’s a StIngray so you know what to expect. I have fitted Dunlop strap locks. Not looking for any trades. I would much prefer collection but I am in Milton Keynes and travel around a fair bit so could meet up.
  14. Brought a 1U power amp from Sean. Great comms and met up to exchange to save postage. Top Basschatter. Paul b
  15. Do you have any need of a TC Electronics 2x10?
  16. Here we have a fully functioning, great sounding 2x10 cab. The ported cab means that it handles the bottom end very well. There are some cosmetic surface marks on the cab but grill and speakon connectors are unblemished. From the TC Electronics website; Dimensions. W x H x D 462 x 662 x 380. Weight. 19 kg / 41.6 lbs. Power handling. 250W. Enclosure. Handcrafted wooden box, 15 mm plywood. Surface. Tolex covered, metal grill. Porting. Rear ported. Woofer. Enclosure: Handcrafted wooden box, 15 mm plywood I’m in Milton Keynes collection preferred but I travel around a fair bit especially in the midlands so potentially could deliver for a fuel contribution. Great cab only moving it on as I di my combo into the PA now.
  17. Paul drove up and collected my Orange SP212, recommended member of the bass brotherhood. Paul B
  18. Had some interest for the cab, so far nothing for the amp.
  19. Apparently now discontinued, it makes the cab very compact but has a good range of frequency handling. PM me if you want to make an offer or need any further info. I'm working in Scotland for a few days this week.
  20. Following various amp/ cab combinations this small stage rig now up for a new home. These items are exactly what you would expect, a Mark Bass Little Mark 250 mounted in a mark bass backpack case which unzips to allow access to front and rear panels. The orange cab is compact as the 2x12inch speakers are mounted isobaricly which is one behind the other. I would prefer collection, I’m based in Milton Keynes but travel with work especially in the midlands. Cab sold so £200 for the head.
