2.
Any pix please?thanx
hi,yes i will add pic's this evening (i'm at work at the moment & shouldn't be using the internet )
  3. I too have swapped back, selling my shuttle & buying a Hartke Kilo which just sounds immense into my BB2. Class D amps just don't seem to have the sheer heft that a "proper amp has, imho
  4.
I'm gonna guess, epic
hope so I I have a gig this weekend so will try it out & report back
  5.
The reviews for the Krivo are really good I would still like one at some point, I like the Schaller for now though, ok I'm not going to play Symphony Hall with it but for New York New York or some swinging Blues down the local pub or small scale wedding/party gig it's great, in a full electric band with a drumkit to me it sounds as close as a piezo but without the constant feedback, I guess the Gibson Les Paul, Marshall Stack and 2000 watt PA system was 'less popular' when the Bull fiddle was first invented!
lol i'll let you know what it sounds like when i unleash it through my 750w rig
  6.
I've given up with the piezos, schaller 411 mag and fishman live, microphone for recording.
I'll be joining you shortly Pete,I have a Krivo mag & a K&K fingerboard clicky on the way plus a set of low tension Blast Cult Low Life's . I will still leave a piezo on for the quiet gigs but the loud ones will be with the mag.

Good choice, I run a loud DB into mine via my Hartke Kilo & it sounds immense, just wait until you have broken it in. Enjoy
  8. It's nice that some people understand what I did so my thanks to you guys. When someone PM's me expressing interest in an item I always put it on hold for them,as I operate on first come first served basis, then ask them to confirm they are definitely buying & how they want to pay. if they have read the message but chose not to reply, which as mentioned above only takes a few seconds, then as far as I am concerned the next person in the queue gets a chance to buy. if the first person is upset by this then boo boo to them,as is mentioned above as the seller all I want to do is sell,if the buyer really wants to buy they should get their finger out & buy. Btw the item was a set of DB strings which would be £80 new,I sold them used but still good for £25 posted.
  9.
I can see that. 3.5 hours is very little, but, on the other hand, if I'm really interested in something I make sure the seller knows. If I have a message from the seller and I read it, I reply even if it's a one liner "on the move now, I'll write back later with details" or something, to let him know I'm not ignoring him. If the seller just wants to sell something and has a number of people at the door, I can understand skipping someone who looks like may not be serious (how many times someone has told me they wanted something, only for them to disappear? too many). It takes a minute to reply a one liner. It's ok if you haven't read the message, I understand people do not log in all the time to check, but if you did login and read the message, just press reply. The other person knows you've read it and chose not to reply at that time... don't blame the seller for doing business with someone else if you don't make sure you show interest.
thank you,this exactly my point
  10.
I usually give people 48hrs to reply, but if they were really interested in what I was selling you would expect them to reply sooner than that.
exactly,he read my reply & all he had to do was say "yes I definitely want the strings & will sort payment as soon as I can " but apparently this was too much trouble for him & as I had another buyer desperate to give me his money it was a no brainer for me.
  11. I have to say in my own defence that the guy hadn't given me a 100% yes as to buying it,no one seems to have read that part. I would happily wait a day or two for payment but I would expect a confirmation of buying pretty quick especially when I have other buyers waiting, this is what I didn't get,my post isn't about payment. I didn't really explain this very well in my post, sorry,I have now edited it. ta

  13.
Fair play to Artisan for coming back on and taking the criticism on the chin (or would in the bollocks be more in keeping with the rest of the thread)!
thank you good sir, much appreciated,I was brought up to always admit when I'm in the wrong.
  14.
Without a full (or at the very least cursory) examination of the prospective buyer's testicles, it would be presumptuous, if not slightly rude, to make such assumptions. A photo will usually suffice in these situations...
I just choked on my coffee
  15.
Every member was a newbie at some point and whilst I admit sometimes it feels a little off when their very first (and only) post is "I want to sell".... etc, with no previous introduction, it does take a little while to get a handle on BC's personality and see how it works. In this case, I don't think you gave the buyer long enough to reply. As mentioned, people have other stuff going on.
Hi yes I agree I was rather impatient
  16.
Chief? Squire? Bud? Son? Guv? ...Silly Bollocks?
lol I'll try that next time
  17. Anyway I guess I am rather impatient so most likely in the wrong, but i still say that if you read a PM why not reply it only takes a few seconds & I didn't get a definite "yes I will have them & sort payment .....",where as the other buyer was chomping at the bit to throw his money at me,in business an item is not officially sold until it's paid for after all. As for me calling him "mate",he didn't give he his real name so what am I suppossed to call him ?,if he's so touchy then why did he not tell me his real name. Over & out. Am i in touble for my punctuation again TimR
  18.
I don't necessarily think that's a deal-breaker, mate. Some people think it's just being friendly.
it is in these here parts
  19.
Nevermind. Here's some punctuation marks and capital letters. Free of charge. .....,,,,, IIII SSSS PP .
Wow thanks
  20.
I would not get upset at 3.5 hours. He might have read it and been on the way out to work or something. Couple of days- certainly. But not less than a day.
fair point,I have been messed about by a couple of new members recently having put something on hold for them, then promptly disappearing never to be heard from again. It only takes a few seconds to fire a quick reply & keep your seller informed, payment can wait a couple of days but a confirmation can't,especially when other buyers waiting. oh well.
  21. so i had a newbie with 0 posts offer to but am item i have for sale along with several PM's from other people but he was the first. so i put them on hold for him & gave him payment details,3 1/2 hours after reading my reply he still hadn't replied to me to confirm he was buying or sent any payment so naturally i sold said item to the next person in the "queue" when i told the original no show newbie i received this reply "Just got your messages, thanks, it is always good to be called mate by somebody, thanks mate. At least I now know what "on hold" means. I'm glad I didn't gift you 25 quid. Cheers anyway, Pete x" perhaps if he'd bothered to reply he wouldn't be so upset. i have dealt with many BC members over the years without issue, all deals have been pleasant & gone smoothly, however it seems some newer members have a very poor attitude, maybe its a sign of the times.
