1. I've seen, heard and played this bass and it is fantastic. Well worth the asking price.
2. PMs replied to, still no takers. Day 1 bump.
3. Its soapbar size, about 4 inches across. I does have existing screw holes for a single coil though.
4. [s]"Fender" fretless jazz bass neck. Previously a fretted neck but has been converted to an unlined fretless and a Fender decal applied. Lacquer finish on the neck. Okay conidition, the fingerboard could do with a few coats of varnish, there are some small dents and it is missing the string tree and the machine heads are a tad road worn (one has "Nick" etched on it). - £30 . Jazz bass body with chrome bridge. Again, okay condition. Ideal for a project. - £30[/s] [s]Alesis Q25 USB keyboard. Good for Cubase. Get your prog on! - £20[/s] DR Hi-Def 5 string set (BEADG). Only seen a few weeks use. - £15 [s]Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats (EADGC) I'd hoped to use these myself but I need roundwounds as much as I need money. - £15[/s] (Both sets of strings are cut for a 3+2, 34" five string.) Everything here is for sale; no trades, thank you. I would rather have this stuff collected (from West London) but postage can be arranged at buyer's expense (I'd also need time to get packaging together.).
5. Quick deal with good comunication. 5*
6. Bank transfer if I'm shipping it or cash if I deliver or you collect in person in London.
7. I bought this not two weeks ago but, having bought another bass that I can't really afford, this has to go! Here's the original thread. This is a very underrated bass, one of the reasons I went for it was because I wanted to see what the fuss (good and bad) was about. On the (much heavier) plus side: It is very comfortable to play, the pickups are very dark but not muddy, it can do a great variety of tones (this is not just a "rock" bass, it can to funk, RnB, slap, etc; it just happens to be exceptionally good at rock!) And, it being Korean made, the construction is very solid; I would happily gig with this bass. On the downside, the obvious hunderbird flaws, neck dive and poor upper register access. Bah, who wants to play those frets anyway? Since buying it I've changed the strap button position to help with the infamous neck dive (which is now a minimum so long as you have a decent strap, with cheap nylon straps there is still some droopage) so it is now on the heel of the bass; this means that there are 2 open screw holes, one where the strap button was and one where I started drilling into the neck and then thought better of it before any damage was done. Both are easily covered by a bit of wood filler or PVA glue and a black marker. I'm asking £100 for this, exactly what I paid. £100 collected from my door, £105 delivered anywhere in zones 1 to 4 in London and £120 delivered anywhere in the UK. If you want it delivered anywhere else then PM me. I have no camera and only a phone and cheap webcam at my disposal so pictures won't do it justice (though I'll happily try my best on request), I would describe the condition of this bass as "acceptable" to "good". No major problems but clear signs of use. This bass will be sold with the strings it came with, stainless steels with plenty of life in them.
8. That was the plan when I bought it but I lack the funds, time and skill. I need this bass to be up and running every day too, my track record with electronics means it would take me about a week to do all that. Hopefully whoever gets this can make better use of it's potential. Very possibly buying a bass this evening, if that goes ahead then I'll put up a sale price of £125.
9. For sale, my SX Precision in vintage white with a tort pickguard and a rosewood neck. The upgrades are Wilkinson tuners, a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder, a black high-mass bridge*) and a Fender decal. The finish on the neck has been striped down to remove the overly-orange tint and it has exposed screw holes around the bridge, 2 for the old bridge (which is included) and 2 for a bridge cover (also included, sans screws.) (*The bridge is actually a piezo bridge but needs a new wire (and soldering) for it to work.) I'm trading this in because I need a bridge pickup, simple as. I'd rather a straight swap but I might be able to add a little bit of cash for the right bass. Extended range is fine but I must have frets! I'm a music student so I use this bass every day so it would need to be done in person and in London so I'm not bassless and waiting for a courier. /godawfulpic
10. Can we have more photos, please? Also, interested in any trades? I have an upgraded SX Precision.
11.
There's more to life than pliers, you know.
I was meaning I have a spare fretless neck. Well, had; its warped to f*** over Christmas now I've checked it. Good luck with the sale.
12. Would like a straight swap including the wiring on my part and the quick-connect system on yours. I'm based in West London. Thanks.
