1. I WILL ACCEPT £150 CASH IF COLLECTED FROM WEST LONDON. I really need to sell this and that is a bloody fantastic deal. (Its not cursed, I just skint.) Specs: 35" scale. 24 frets. String through. Maple body with quilted maple top. EMG-HZ (open pole) soapbar humbuckers. Master volume, pickup pan, active bass/mid/treble. High mass bridge. Gold hardware. Some bumps, scrapes and scratches on the back but nothing similar. Great overall condition. Lovely bass, some what like an Ibanez SR. Very modern sounding, solid construction and a dream to play. The EMG-HZ pickups are not to be feared, I found them to be brighter and more tonefull than usual HZ crap and the active EQ compliments them nicely. Why am I selling? Only got this a while ago but jazz basses are my forte, I had to sell my MIA Jazz to cover expenditures, so I want a Jazz bass! Any more questions, just ask. Jon
2.
Had one of these for a month or so now, I love it!!
You better. I wish I had the money to buy it back. Great bass, great price. Somebody buy this.
3. Sound: Very nice clean tone, nicer than my old Les Paul custom. Haven't had a chance to run it through any distortion but I'll assume that's just as good. Vol/tone, neck/neck+middle/middle/middle+bridge/bridge selector switch. Nice and bright neck pickup, tonally even in the middle, very hot at the bridge. Condition: Dents here, scratches there, nothing serious. Electronics are perfect, tuners are very solid (stays in tune for weeks), good tremolo. Cleaning the fingerboard wouldn't go amiss, though all I have is lemon oil. £70 or trade for a cheapy bass. Prefer collection from Morecambe but I don't mind posting at buyer's expense. Jon
4. I'm disappointed in all of you! You should be complaining about the lack of pictures instead.
5. The body shape is very slightly different to a standard jazz, the neck pocket and bell plate fit all the usual but the pickguard won't fit any other bass.
6. Good communication, paid and collected in person. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with again. Jon
7. Yep, £50 plus postage. There's a bits post in the other stuff forum.
8. That'll be dropbox acting up, just refresh until they work. Also bump.
9. I'll get pics up soon, the back of the headstock is blank and a previous owner has engraved their name on one of them. £50 is the price of the neck, the tuners are free with it as I have no use for them. You just missed the stacked pots, they went right away.
10. Stacked plate is now gone, replaced by a black one that I had hanging around.
11. Couple of people interested, just a bump to see if there are any other offers out there.
12. Fretless Jazz bass project. Haven't the foggiest where any of the parts were made but there's no junk here. A Sunburst body, routed for a soapbar at the neck if you like (an EMG 40 would fit snugly.) £50 A defretted/stained neck with aged tuners and a Fender decal (some scratching on the neck, I would highly recommend coating it with epoxy if you prefer rounds.) £50 I'd rather sell this all as one, buy it all together and postage is free! Ta Jon
13. Fretless Jazz bass project. Haven't the foggiest where any of the parts were made but there's no junk here. Sunburst body, routed for a soapbar at the neck if you like (an EMG 40 would fit snugly;) a defretted/stained neck with aged tuners and a Fender decal (some scratching on the neck, I would highly recommend coating it with epoxy if you prefer rounds;) a black bell plate with black knobs (pics soon, missing knob for tone pot) and a red tort pickguard. One of those projects that I was never going to get around to. : £120 please, good sirs; cash, cash deposit or bank transfer preferred! I'm also advertising this as parts but I'd rather it all went in one go so free delivery within the UK. Ta Jon
14. I think the £100 offer was because I wanted quick cash at the time, call it £150 or best offer. It is 72.2lb or 32.5kg, dimensions are 63x53x35cm.
15. Extremely reluctant sale as I only just got this but I need the money. [sob story]My girlfriend and I are buggering off to separate universities in September so I had hoped to make this a good summer bu, lo and behold, I ran out of cash. [/sob story]. Original thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...der+deluxe+jazz Same bass, same case, new strap, new strings and new batteries too! Good condition apart from some light scratching and two small dings by the jack. Original Fender case has some scuffage. In my opinion, the best production model bass money can buy. Noiseless pickups, three-band preamp, Hipshot tuners, straplocks; an incredibly light body which, especially coupled with the wide strap, feels almost weightless; and an American Vintage bridge. Strung with Stadium Elite Light Gauge strings. Weights 7.8lb excluding the strap and straplocks. £600 please the same as I paid. Delivery will cost extra. Payment by cash, bank deposit or bank transfer only please! Pictures! Ecuse my crummy photography (goddamn touch screen phones) and thanks for reading. Jon
