1. I've got an Ibanez ATK300 if that interests you? Also do you have the original pickguard?
2. If I see one more sexy sunburst precision here that I can't afford, I'm going to cry.
3. Up again, seen something I want for £250 so I'm asking for that.
4. Info, on the two other basses? The Shine looks interesting but I can't tell what the other is.
5. Would you be interested in a trade for an ATK300? If not, free bump for a great looking bass
6.
i have the exact same bass really good quality for the money have a bump on me
If it weren't for GAS I'd keep it forever. Cheers.
7. I think it was Nevada music. That finish is discontinued on the four string models now, replaced by a disgusting sparkly red. Maybe I should up the price for rarity
8.
That's better ^_^ What does it weigh please?
Roughly 4.5kg according to an online review, I don't have any scales to get an exact measurement but this bass hasn't been modified so the weight will be consistent.
9. Would you be interested in an Ibanez ATK300 for the Fender?
10.
Youll regret it spaz, youll regret it.
The plan is to save up for the 5 string version.
11. Right, a few more pics up. They'll have to do for now, if you want any more specific shots I will try to get them up tomorrow afternoon. A few more things about the ATK: The neck is like a modern Fender P-bass neck, comfortably chunky with a very thin and fast finish. The body is somewhere between a precision and a stingray and is made of light ash which has an alder-ish bright tone but I assume it is lighter (I've never had an alder bass at the same time to compare it to.) The knobs are very solid, haven't once come loose, everything about this bass is solid, perfect quality control there. Re: the first pic, it was in the sunlight there, the tricolour sunburst isn't that orangey usually. It has a trim pod inside the cavity which alters the output, I have it set on full blast for a hotter sound but its useful to lower it if you're switching with a passive bass onstage. Like I said, this at least the match of a Stingray so if you want you can get that hifi sound (like Tim Commerford on the 1st RATM album.) Any more questions just PM me or post them here (I'm tracking the thread.)
12. No offence taken! At the moment my A levels take priority over the tidiness of my room and that picture was taken when I first go it (I bought it new last August for £420). I'm currently trying to get new pics but my digital camera is dead so I'm having to use my webcam (which is fixed to my monitor which is fixed to my wall!) which is rather tricky.
13.
I have a good friend who works as a courier - I don't think she would appreciate that kind of language -ditto most BCers
Sorry, fixed that. Just a little sour from my last encounter which ended in with me staying in for 4 days waiting for a courier that had no intention of coming when it said it was coming and then randomly popped up the next week without warning (good thing I was still in at the time.) In the two weeks that it took for the courier to both arrive and knock loud enough for a human to actually hear the person I was trading basses with lost interest. I would rather not risk a repeat of that.
14. tl;dr: Pics here http://picasaweb.google.com/jonsparrow15/IbanezATK# (I tried my best with the photos, camera phones and webcams are not ideal equipment.) £220 + p&p or trades downwards (cash to me). Hiscox case is NOT included (was a Christmas present.) Ooh, SHINY. The Ibanez ATK300 is very similar to a Stingray: large body, humbucker at the bridge with dual/single coil abilities, 3 band EQ, string through and a nice chunky neck. The difference is the price tag! It also has the gigantic ATK bridge that you can see in the pics, combined with string through this thing can sustain for weeks. (You can top load the strings to if you really want.) http://www.ibanez.com/BassGuitars/model-ATK300 As you can see from the Ibanez page they've continued this finish in favour of some disgusting sparkly red. I know a lot of people aren't fans of Ibanez so, at the risk of deterring actual Ibanez fans, this is a completely different beast to their usual stuff. Its a more classically styled bass. (Not too heavy, 4.5kg). There are some marks and dings, I tried to capture them in photo but most of them wouldn't show up. There are several scratches on the back of the bass as well as buckle rash. There is the usual swirly scratches on the pickguard and some deeper scratches along the top of the bass. There is a dent in the finish as shown in the pictures and a very confusing burn mark on the headstock. There are a few small dents in the top of the head stock and a small dent in the back of the neck. Most of these complaints are unnoticeable unless you're looking for them and in no way affect playing the bass. Back to the good stuff. I've tried these out in shops alongside Stingrays and other similar basses and I always felt that this bass came out on top in terms of feel, versatility and looks. You can get loads of different tones with the three way switch for the triple-coil humbucker (humbucker, single coil and treble cut) combined with the 3 band active EQ. Its been restrung since I put the first ad up and the RS66s have been broken in nicely. As I said, I would like £220 for this beast (they go for £400 new) or I would like a cheaper bass + cash, e.g. a Squier Classic Vintage or w.h.y. Just suggest something, I won't be offended Postage is at the buyer's expense, I would MUCH rather a collection from Morecambe in the North West. If you're close enough I can deliver it in person (postage would cost about £15 so I'm willing to travel that much by train too.) If posted, It'll be in a gig bag in a cardboard box that has been padded to withstand a bomb. Don't just take my word for it! http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...nez/ATK300/50/1 The only poor score I see is customer support and that's pretty irrelevant right now I can assure friendly, efficient service (past 12 in the afternoon at least.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM-wa5SkwKg This is what influenced me to buy it in the first place, hopefully it will have the same effect on you.
15. And replied. I'm sorted for a trade now but I really need a sale. I.e. no more trade offers please, just cash.
16. Cheers! @everyone it concerns, really looking for a sale now thanks to my financial situation so I'm narrowing down my trade criteria: Hollowbody basses (but not violin basses.) Squier Affinity + cash. High-end Squier Telecaster. Cheapish tube combo.
17. £160 now I've seen Super Mario Galaxy 2 is out and I owe lots of people lots of money...
18. The reason for that sound on the upright is the Rotosound 88s, they're meant to give electric basses a sound similar to an upright so maybe its overkill! I'm sure some proper steel strings would sort the sound out. I don't suppose you fancy swapsies for a Squier VM Jazz bass for the upright or the travel bass?
19. Due to a malfunction with a guitar stand I've shaved off £30.
20. Not really what I'm after but thanks anyway. I'm not sure what I'm after but I'll know when I see it ^_^
