    Only realised after ordering from them that DV247 in Romford is no more... Now it seems to be just the German team, who don't respond to emails and also use UPS, which requires a US address to give delivery instructions... Shame, they were really good when they had a UK store.

      I bought my first Jazz Bass from Digital Village when it was the small shop in Chadwell Heath, I also used to rehearse in the building that DV247 eventually moved into in Romford.

       

      DV247 was great shop and I bought a few guitars from there over the years.

    Just re-discovered flats. Re-fitted D'Addario Chromes to my AVRI 63 Precision and all the glorious thump came back. Then spent a delightful half-hour playing Steely Dan numbers on it. Mmm...

    I think I've reached that, "I've got all this stuff that isn't gonna ever get used" state. Projects that will never see the light of day.

    Some of it is worth selling, some may as well see the bin. 
    I think I could do with a cathartic gear purge to clear the decks both physically and psychologically.

      Do it, I just got rid of 2 basses, 2 electric guitars and 2 electro-acoustics and I feel so much better for doing it 😁

      All my basses have flats but, I just bought a Squier Classic 60s Vibe Precision and I decided to leave the roundwounds on there to give it a different sound to my other P-Bass, this is when it became clear that I had been fully inducted into the Flat Side.

       

      I didn't like the brightness and it appears that my playing style has changed by playing flats only for the past few years, I now have a `greasy' style and tend to slide into notes more and the string screech of roundwounds annoyed the f**k out of me LOL.
