1. I feel really bad to have to do this, but up for sale is my Barefaced Retro Six10. I've had this for only about 12 weeks, gigged it about 5 times with maybe 2 rehearsals. They're everything they claim to be - clear, clean, artculate, punchy, loud, and lightweight. All of the stuff on here is true... http://barefacedbass...Retro-Six10.htm Definitely the best cab I've ever owned. I've had a lot more presence at gigs and clarity in my tone since having it. I've carried it about on my own easier than I did with my old Ashdown 410, cos it's lighter and thinner, plus has kick back casters. I've laid it down in the back of my hatchback no problem. Obviously is it's full working order, I've basically had it long enough to play the drivers in a bit. The only thing is I've annoyingly managed to scuff the back at the top left corner (idiot). Otherwise it's clearly solid and built to last. I ordered this at a time when I was doing more decent venues than I am now. But that all changed a bit quickly and recently, and since I've had it I'm only doing toilet pub gigs really. So whilst it sounds excellent, it's a little overkill, and I need to raise some funds for some super boring but essential payments coming up unfortunately. I'm offering this up for £850. Hopefully that's fair. Think of it as buying a new Barefaced, but save £150 and don't wait 4 months for it to arrive! No offers or trades too thanks. If you want to come by my house near Poole in Dorset, bring your head and give it a try, it is most welcomed. Cash on collection is preferred, otherwise I can drive out myself and meet halfway somewhere within a reasonable distance at buyers expense, or if needed - ship at buyers expense, as I have the original packaging still. Any questions please ask! Thanks. 2. Thanks guys! It's the original pickup - I believe the Dimarzio one they make now is the same design as the original though.
3. Still available - description updated a bit.
4. Cheers for the kind words! Yeah it's a great sounding cab. It's no lightweight barefaced type deal, but certainly not the heaviest ever. I've managed to move it by myself a whole bunch and I'm only little...
5. Thanks Marc! (Didn't see your comment here). Now £995.
6. Ashdown 410 cab. I bought this new in 2010 and it has seen a fair amount of use as you can see from the dings in the picture, but it's super sturdy and still sounds perfect. Nice deep and loud sound. The tweeter doesn't work, but I've not found I missed it, and I believe it's something easily replaced. I'm also willing to drive out a reasonable distance to meet halfway somewhere. Any questions, please ask!
7. That's perfect cheers for your help, Si
8. Hey everyone, I've had this pedal for a couple of weeks now, and it sounds excellent. I think I've finally found the overdrive I've been seeking for ages. I've just been having a play around with the internal diode selector, and just wondering what exactly they do. From what I understand the options are: LED, Si, Ge, Rectifier, and standard Knightfall MOSFET. There are 10 switches numbered 1-10, so presumably 5 options for each channel. There's probably a certain amount of 'use yours ears' in this question, and I've found some cool settings that I like, but does anyone know which switch goes to which diode? And what are the characteristics of each one that I should be hearing? I.E. Are some brighter? Do some sound better at higher gain? etc... Thanks in advance.
