Here we have a Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5, bought around a year ago from Grezza1 of this parish. Its from 2004. Absolutely rock solid build. Bits of player wear on the body under the strings, but I'd say its in great condition for a 20 year old instrument. Ash body, maple neck with ebony fretboard (I think) 34" scale Adjustable string spacing, goes about as narrow as 18mm or thereabouts, out to 19.5mm ish 3 band active EQ, 1 x 9V battery Active or passive operation Split coil switch Weight - 4.7kg according to bathroom scales method Does not include the attached strap. Will remove that and replace original strap hardware for sale. Reason for sale is I'm on a one in, one out policy currently. Sadly. Price includes postage, which will be in a decent cardboard box with a crappy guitar bag. Knock £25 off if you can collect! Cheers

How are you getting your bass sound into your computer?
robiredale replied to Mornats's topic in Recording
Bass straight in, all processing in Reaper. I generally use Neural DSP's stuff for my tone, I'm a metal/rock player primarily and use Darkglass stuff live, so this works very well for me. I produce music for my main band and much prefer having flexibility to make decisions later about tone. This suits the way we like to write and record. Many of the compressors and EQs I use after this are Reaper's stock plugins, they're excellent. Especially the compressors. -

I sold Jake the Keeley - glad its worked out for you! I never noticed the noise reported above for what its worth, and thought it was a very good piece of kit. I've tried a few over the years, and much prefer simple ones. I had an Empress Bass Comp for a bit - awesome bit of kit, but too complex for my tiny brain. My two recent faves are Trace Elliot's dual comp on their Transit B (crossover freq is 330hz I think), and even simpler, the one knob compressor on the Darkglass Amps - absolutely amazing. Best one knob solution I've seen for my applications.

Quilter Bass Block 802 - perfect working order, great condition. Really superb little amp with huge volume for its size and weight - just not getting used and too good to be sitting around doing nothing. Only thing worth noting is that the feet kept coming loose and the head is so light it bounced around the top of my cab. So I glued the feet on, and also glued velcro to the bottom of the feet. I have done neater jobs - hopefully the pictures make it clear. Invisible when sat the right way up of course. Price includes postage to the UK.

Empress Bass Compressor - great condition, one very small nick on one of the bottom corners. Otherwise all good. This is Serial Number 85 - so one of the batch afflicted with the LED clicking noise (https://support.empresseffects.com/support/solutions/articles/1000305133-does-my-bass-compressor-need-a-ribbon-cable-replacement-). However, it is never had a problem, so have never requested the fix. Comes in original box with manual. There's velcro tape on the bottom currently. Postage can be arranged at buyers expense. Cheers for looking!
