1. As title. Great condition (rubber feet have been removed I think) £35 + postage

4. Will be ordered tomorrow hopefully, alongsied a set of LaBella 760M - the 'Jamerson' super heavy gauge set - I'm I justified in my confidence that they will be fine seeing as the bass has one of those graphite truss rods? I'm no good at tweaking truss rods.
5.
Gotta be gold. Have you though about an off white though? Like the parchment colour or the Greeny one?
I think the stock one is parchment. I'm starting to like the black now though...
6. I switch between a Jazz and an EB0 without trouble (though not often - I mainly play the J)
7. I haven't tried one, I just like the look! I think the nut width is the same as an US Standard, but shallower front to back. I hope it's not too J like as that's the main reason I want a P - I much prefer the necks, even on the cheapest copies. I see some Ps have a 1.75" nut - is this standard these days, or just on a few reissues (I know I tried the Mex 50s P which had a 1.75 nut and it felt huge - I liked it, but if the slightly smaller nuts are the standard on most P style ones then I'd be happy with that too)
8.
The heads must be a different thing to the combo then.
I think the combos are the OTB500 and an SP212 cab in the same box, nothing else. I had the combo for a while, but it was faulty (speaker was buzzing slightly at all volumes - they did mention there was a problem with the entire combo line and thought of withdrawing them, but that hasn't seem to have happened) so Orange replaced it with the separate head and cab instead - I didn't notice any difference. I really like mine - it breaks up quite early, but I play very lightly and don't have a problem with clean headroom. Keeping the gain low (at around 9 o clock), I find there is plenty of volume left on tap. Most of the time I go through the PA as well, but there hasn't been a problem in quite loud pub gigs with only a vocal PA either, with plenty of volume left. Aled
9. Right, had a bit of a crude geek around on Paint! I think that the gold works best. Though I'm still tempted by the red (despite the fact that it's gone royally wrong in my pic!)
10.
Think gold would make it look a lot more vintagey.
Yes, I think so too. Trouble is those plates are quite expensive things to just try out! Could be amazing... One of my favourite looks for a P is natural ash/maple board and black guard, and I'm thinking the same could work on this combo. On the other hand I can't get the red out of my mind either. Maybe I should concentrate on getting the damn thing first!
11. http://www.rowlandsmusic.com/store/Bass-Guitars/Fender/American-Special/Fender-FSR-American-Special-Precision-Bass-Maple-Neck-Hand-Stained-Honey-Burst-Bass-Guitar/prod_1637.html Isn't it lovely? It's just the standard American Special in a limited edition finish. Would need pickup and bridge covers of course, and I'm undecided between black/anodised gold/red scratchplate or keep the white. Whaddyathink? Could possibly be mine. We'll see. Aled
12. Absolutely battered. Grille has had to sawn off, but I still have it. Two faulty drivers, but two are working. Back has been removed so I'm not sure if I have the screws for it, and one of the side handles have broken. £60 anyone? Collection only as it's bloody big! I could deliver/meet up within reason for petrol money - I'm up and down Wales quite often and play London every once in a while. Used to look like this and used to cost about a grand I think: Will post a current pic when I can (it's not at my house at the moment) Aled
13. Good god that's nice! Interested in any trades for anything? Flightcase? Monitor screen? Guitar amps? Slightly faulty bass head? Kidneys?
14. Tempted by this, though I'm skint. Got some studio stuff, mics and amps to consider for trades though. Will try to find money!
15. Ah, heck, sorry 'bout that! Will sort it now
16. For sale / possible trade: Marshall DSL401 combo (scuffed case, missing feet) - £200 Marshall 3530 rackmounted bass head (dodgy input jack, rattly case and missing knobs - £150 Thanks! Aled
17. Yipee! It sounds quite ace. Very old school with the Jazz. There is, however, a slight buzzing while playing - it's the speaker, not the amp itself - it disappears if I touch the speaker whilst ringing a note. I've never bought a brand new amp before, so could it be that it just needs breaking in? Or just tightening of screws or what have you. I'd rather not have to send it back as it seems like a very small problem.
18. Hey there, Got a Marshall DSL401 guitar amp for sale. Battered but working condition. Looking for offers, ar a trade/PX for a half decent P-style bass (Fender 50s Precision ideally... but not in Fiesta Red!). I'm based in Wales and travel up and down the country regularly, as well as England depending on gig schedule. Aled
19. I've just ordered the Bass Terror Combo (TB500C). Can't wait for it to arrive! Not fussed that it has valves in it (actually, I'd probably prefer if it didn't), but I've tried the head on a radio session and the combo in a shop, and really liked it. Might try to post some clips in anyone would be interested.
20. Cab now sold - thanks Brabasam! Head still available - looking for £150. Any interest?
21. Any interest in trade/px for a Marshall DSL401 guitar combo?
22. Hi there, Thinking of shifting my current bass rig: Marshall 3530 head. 300w. NOT IN FULL WORKING CONDITION. Almost guaranteed to be minor faults - dodgy input jack, and master volume not working properly. Seems to be stuck on very loud. Few knobs missing, and has seen a lot of use so not in great cosmetic condition. Fitted in a 4u rack case which is solid but battered. Amp case itself could probably do with some new new screws / tightening of current ones. Ampeg B410HLF Full range 4Ohm 4x10 cab with horn and attenuator. Full working condition, but a few rips and scuffs on tolex. Not too heavy - nowhere near the weight of the SVT equivalent from what I understand - I regularly lift and carry it by myself. Has a set of castors fitted. Here's a poor pic of both together - though it doesn't give much of an idea of their condition - I'll post more as soon as I can: Any interest? I'm based in Wales but we tour quite regularly so could possibly deliver, depending on gig schedule. Would prefer to sell both together but don't mind splitting. Not sure how much to ask so just looking for an idea really - and I'm still not 100% I want to sell (it's a solid 99% though!) Aled
