Sorry not true.... well according to the Hagstrom serial number book anyway. There were three batches 647XXX - batch of 999 made between 1965 and 1967 696XXX - batch of 1000 made in 1967 716XXX - batch of 750 made between 1967 and 1971 But still a great rare bass, and at a reasonable price too
My mistake ... Who sold me this bass made reference maybe to 1967-1971 period.
If it's any help, Hagstrom have just done an innacurate reissue of this, and i dare say it will be more expensive than this. Beautiful bit of kit.
Did not know Hagstrom made a reissue of this bass ... that means something ... Today I played again this bass ... is just unbelievable.

This is my Hagström Concord C1 for sale. This is a very rare bass. I've been told there were 750 of these basses made between 1965-1971. This bass is very old and working very good. Has a PERFECT neck. Pickups are very strong and each pickup has volume and tone. Do not know what wood was used and other details. Sounds like a vintage old bass with a lot of lows. When was made this bass was more expensive then a Fender precision in the same period of time (1966 - 1968). Here you can find more details about this beauty: http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/hagstromConcordBass.php I put a very low price since this bass is around 40 years old, but I need some money for another bass. SOLD
Update: The bass is provisionally sold to Beneath it All as of saturday when he attends to collect my Trace Elliot head. However, I've spoken with Steff and I'm attempting to honour my intial agreement with him about the sale of the bass. If Steff can attend mine on thursday and buy the bass, it'll be gone. If not, it will go to Beneath It All. If both of these deals disintegrate, I'll let the forum know and I'll look back through my list of PM's and see who is next in line.
Until tomorrow you will change your mind. Up for a nice bass ...
As I've said Ovi, there are a few basses on the table at the moment I'm thinking on, and always taking new offers too! Right now a Modulus Quantum and a Marleaux Betra Custom really have me thinking!
Ok... take care and up from me... let me know only when you are SURE for a trade with me ... I was searching in vain for another courier.
