1. O really don't know if they are chrome or anything else.
 2. Hello there! I really like the strings I have on my fender '73 and I don't know what name and model they are. I really don't know how I get them some time ago ... Here are some pictures with my bass and strings. If anybody can help me and recognize the strings from pictures I will be very happy. First I was thinking they are rotosound strings but looks they are not because rotosound strings have less red in the end and differit shape where the strings are attached to the keys. Also Rotosound has on both ends red. Here is a link and pictures with my bass: http://www.rotosound.com/swing_66.php Thanks!

 7. One friend of mine ask me to put for sale here and to do some photos of his pick-ups and preamps from his basses. He upgrade some of his basses and teasted some pickups. Here are pictures and prices: Bartolini XXP46M - 175 euro - like new condition Hum-cancelling Split coil - Deep Tone (These will work well with 74-95mm string widths) *Two conductor pickups Norstrand DC6 Soapbars - 19 mm. they are custom made from a Roscoe SKB6 strings - 275 euro These pickups are available in two different versions. One set is designed to be wired in parallel, and the other is designed to be wired in series. The reason we do this is that a pickup that is made to sound good wired parallel will usually be too hot and dark sounding if wireed in series. So, we put less wire on series dual coils than parallel dual coils. In general, a pickup wired in series will have a fuller and fatter midrange with a subdued high end than a pickup wired in parallel, which will typically have more highs and a deeper low end with a cleaner midrange. Series pickups also have more output than parallel pickups. Parallel pickups generally are a better choice for a split-able installation as there will not be the gain loss associated with series style pickups. MTD Kingston KZ 6-String Bass pick-ups and preamp 150 euro or 80 euro pick-ups and 70 euro the preamp. [s]Demeter Preamp 150 euro.If anybody wants demeter with norstrand I can sell both for 400 euros.[/s] Thank you!

 17.
Looks like a great jazz bass, and I love the colour contrasting with the maple fretboard. It also looks like a very high quality paint and finish job too!
I really like the color and the job was made by a professional painter and cost me some money.

 21.
Why oh why did you have it done RED - Blurrrgggh! If you'd have had it re-done in natural I'd have seriously considered this even tho I'm not a fan of J width necks it WAS woonderful.
In red looks better Looks like my camera did not show exactly "the red" of my bass. Camera shows a lighter red.
 22.
If you ever get a Yuka 4 string made with Bartolini pickups and then decide to sell it, let me know!
I just found out something that you might be interested. Grosmann has a Yuka in work and did not put yet electronics and hardware, so if you are interested you can chose hardware and electronics for the bass.
