1. Ha, thanks, no, I ran out of patience. Just as well we are looked after here on the forum....
2. Just bought a nice MB AC 101 from Chris, usual no fuss transaction, a lunchtime legend.
3. R.I.P some of the most Iconic Bass Riff's ever! I joined a band in '71, they introduced me to Free, I also did the singing, inspiring stuff then and now, never managed Mr Big yet.

WITHDRAWN

I spoke briefly with Mike Pedulla on his stand at the LBG Show as I have been in awe of the Pentabuzz for many years, I was too intimidated to try. This bass is indicative of the superb attention to detail and quality that the marque has maintained over the years. I should sell up my basses and buy the one bass to rule them all...... Bump
5. Now, be sure to boil them before use!
6. Deal done, thanks.
7. All or nothing I'm afraid, I should have said that. They are free for the cost of the postage!
8. Free, gratis and for nothing. Miscellaneous strings. You just pay the postage. Ideal spares. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/257419-bass-strings-various/
9. I have for recycling some bass strings: Set of round wound for a 4 string (Elites I think) Set of flats for a 5 String (Overwater I think) .65 and .85 round .85 .105. .130 Flats I haven't the faintest what make they are I need to clear them out. £5.00 post and packaging will get them to you.
10. Thanks, it looks like I need a Just a Nut 1 adjustment screw replacement ? Trawling the net to find one...
11. I am contemplating changing the string set up on my Thumb from EADG to BEAD. Is this just a matter of changing the little screws on the Nut, moving them along and popping in the 'B' where the 'E' was? Or is it more complicated and will the tension be a tad too much for the four string neck? It is an '88 NT and I don't want to wreck it as I've had it from new. Anyone help me on this please Thanks
12.
Close to the edge by Yes, the first album I ever bought (as a 14 year old) and I still think its great now, l would also suggest Seconds out by Genesis
We did the first family holiday with my mates family, hired a cottage in Angelsey, hired a minibus, 4 adults, 4 kids, 2 Irish Wolfhounds, Labradore, a Yorkie (dog) and an ounce of some herbal mayhem, this was about '72. I borrowed a portable cassette player from work and "Close to the Edge", just the one tape, only. Played it to death. To this day my 'Ex Wife (now) cannot stand it or them. Incidentally Jon Anderson ( a twin) used to be in a band called the Warriors with his brother and played the Cavern on a regular basis. I still have the Album in Vinyl, I need to resurrect my vinyl now, see what you've started as if GAS wasn't enough
13. The title track 'Aja' from the album Aja, Steely Dan, on vinyl if you can.
14. I have the XS range, pretty damn good The BlackFace cabs are the better cab, far superior to the newer Ceramic speaker jobbies,
15. Paul expressed an interest in a Genz Streamliner 900. Initially had up for trade, I decided on selling instead, so as I reneged on the trade and Paul was still interested I held onto it for him. Sure enough pretty soon the cash winged its way to me and I sent the Genz away to its new home. Good vibes, great comms, fast transaction, what's not to like. Pleasure to do business with you Paul.
16. A photograph and spec's might help, just saying !
