1. **SOLD** I bought these recently for a bass that I have sinced moved on. These have never been fitted and are brand new in the box as you can see from the photos below.

3 x HB2 Hipshot Chrome Tuners
1 x Hipshot BT2 Extender
Given that there are 3 regular style tuners I'd rather not split this set but this is great upgrade kit for a Fender bass. Hipshot website says this fits any USA '67-'82 Fender P & J Bass. Hard to price this without me losing out too much.... Bass Direct has the set of 4 x HB2s at £104.00 and the BT2 at £75.00. So at that rate, 3 x HB2 Tuners would be £78.00 I will price the 3 tuners at £50.00 (saving of £28.00) and the BT2 at £50 (saving of £25.00) so total = £100.00 shipped within the UK. Here's the photos:
2. Genuine Fender chrome 4-Saddle American Vintage Bass with Threaded Steel "Barrel" Saddles as fitted to the Fender American Vintage bass models plus the Pino Palladino CS Precision etc etc. Fender Part No: 0990804100 Brand new, unopened. £30.00 posted (currently £38.09 plus postage on AllParts UK website)
3. Here we have a set of gorgeous cream DiMarzio "PAF" (Patent Applied For) Precision Bass pickups - not to be confused with the modern Model P DP122. These are far more "old skool" vintage woody thumpy tone but I'm sure you already know that. Slight marks on the covers and oxidation on the poles but they are probably around 40 years old. Poles heights adjust with an allen key on these. £55.00 posted within the UK.
4.
Really liking the blue LED styley!
Broken camera!
5. Hi Merlin - it is a great bass, especially for this price - I was very impressed as you can hopefully tell.
6. Gotoh 201 Chrome Bass Bridge Bought it last week, fitted it to bass but immediately realised I needed to shim the neck to get the action right. So took it off again..... so pretty much brand new. Screws weren't even used as I used the originals from the bass. Was £48 - I'll sell for £35.00 posted within UK.
7. Here we have a lovely Made in Japan Fender 57 Reissue Precision made in around 1993 / 1994 finished in 2 tone sunburst. I'l be 100% honest, I bought this bass 2 weeks ago from Ashwood1985 - click here to see the original post - as an experiment to see if I could get on with the thicker deeper neck and if I could also live with a "meat and potatoes" P bass. What I wasn't expecting was to love the look, feel and sound of the 50s reissue style compared to the (infinitely more expensive!) Pino P Bass that I sold on here a couple of years ago due to it never being quite "right" for me. So I am now on the lookout for a more expensive American Vintage version of this bass and think I have found one already hence this needs to be sold as it has served it's purpose. But it is a testament to this fantastic bass that I need to move it on...... really authentic vintage woody P bass tones - not sure what the stock pickups are on here but they are great! On playing this bass for the first time, the (beautifully aged honey colour) neck just felt "right" and I felt like I'd been playing the bass for years. The scratchplate that came with it didn't fit properly so I have replaced this with a black (possibly Fender?) version and the bass now looks just right. Obviously the original (non Reissue) model came with the gold anodised scratchplates but these Japan versions according to the 1993 catalogue were shipped with white pickguards. Take a look at Chris's post and you'll see that the bass had a fret stone and set up at The Bass Gallery recently. Chris also mentions the headstock where the lacquer appears to have lifted slightly - see pics below. This is purely superficial and doesn't affect the playability of the bass. There are the usual minor dinks in the paintwork as you can see in the pics but nothing major at all and pretty good nick I'd say for a 1993 model. "The head's finish has lifted slightly as you can see. I have kept a very close eye on this and it's static (not getting worse) - I had Martin's opinion and he assured me it wouldn't do so. Secondly, the lacquer on the body has some hairline cracking. Not the wood of the wood joins. This is where the bass's wood must have expanded due to a sudden temperature change at some point and resettled. Again, the guys at bass gallery assured me its fine. It's the kind of thing I never notice when playing it, holding it or looking at it but I want to give all the details to you." I'd like the £500 that I paid for this bass to put towards it's more expensive twin brother :0) NO TRADES PLEASE The bass has no case so it will mean local-ish meet up - I am based in West Sussex. Here's the pics:
8. I thought this was a keeper but something has come up on these pages that I need to fund so with regret, my gorgeous MVHPJ is up for sale. I bought this new in September 2011 from Tone Control in Denmark - I would have bought a standard finish but I saw this online and fell in love and paid the extra for this finish & shipping etc. Fantastic bass - the vintage tint natural finish combined with the tortoiseshell pickguard look stunning. I look after my basses so this is pretty much as new minus a few of the usual "playing" surface scratches on the pickguard. Nice low action, also has the Sadowsky / Hipshout Extender to drop down to a low D. Comes with the Sadowsky soft case and all tools etc. So many sounds from this bass - from the warm P bass thump to hard nasal Jaco bridge tones and with both pickups, the combination of the Jazz/Precision pickups create a great distinctive sound especially the slap tone :0) NO TRADES PLEASE Not sure about shipping costs with this so let me know where you are and I'll get a quotation. Obviously it always makes me nervous shipping any bass. Priced at 1275.00 I'll let the pictures do the talking ;0) (excuse the flies in the pics!)
9. Bought Ash's 50's Precision bass from him - lovely chap and lovely bass! Thanks again Ash!
