  1. I've noticed my left ear was a bit muffled of late, so all this week I've been popping a few drops of Otex in each evening in an attempt to soften it all up... last evening I gave it a good flush out with some hot water, and now not only can I hear in glorious stereo again, but I've got the makings of a good sized candle. zzzzzzzbx3o48f1K6x6.gif.b2b3fc9149a80279e6c0387c2182a48e.gif

I can still get mine done at the treatment room at my local GP surgery. As long as I've been softening it up for a while (e.g. the aforementioned Otex, other softening methods are available) they're quite happy to do it and it costs me £00.00. If I hadn't had success last evening, I'd have been making an appointment.

I used to get mine syringed by the nurse at my local surgery. But a few years ago, after it took 6 weeks to get an appointment, I decided to do it myself. I got a ear bulb thingummywotsit, filled it with warm water and gently squirted it in my ear. It works like a charm and I now no longer need to wait forever for an appointment with the nurse.
