I hate to see this thread turning into a Dingwall bashing. There is really no need for it, and you certainly don't gain anything by dissing them. As for that car, yes its ugly as sin, but if it had a 12V pots Supercharged 3 litre engine in it, and did 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds then of course I would give it a go! If at all possible, some of you should at least show some respect towards the luthier who actually makes this basses and takes his time to answer all kind of criticism while all the time maintaining a very polite and humble approach. Can you imagine Sterling Ball and his "Sig Heil!" Kingdom along with his contract killer moderators handling someone who says the Bongo is ugly and looks like a toilet seat? It doesn't bare thinking, I tell ya! Electric pliers and medieval torture awaits you, and when he's done with you, his fanbois vultures are called in to feast on your carcass!

The Squier CV 50's Precision is now sold and the only one left is the Squier Moo Moo CV Jazz. Remember if you are interested you can buy it as it is with the Bovine look or I can return it to Olympic White as I have all the original parts, (pickguard, knobs and pickup covers) and as for the cow spots those are easy peel decals that can just be lifted off. PM me if interested.

Att all iPad, iPhone and iPod - TC Polytune Owners
Grand Wazoo replied to Grand Wazoo's topic in Accessories and Misc
Yes and I have tested them both side by side, the pedal and the iPad version and as you can see by clicking below they work perfectly! Note... I could have shown it to you on the iPhone too, but I've had to use the damned thing to record this little clip , try and hold / record with one hand and pluck a bass with the other, sorry about the grainy quality Click Here -

Att all iPad, iPhone and iPod - TC Polytune Owners
Grand Wazoo replied to Grand Wazoo's topic in Accessories and Misc
Yiiip! It's a must have, I totally love the TC Electronics Polytune. Best tuner I have ever owned. -
as some of you know the TC Polytune is one of the best tuner around at the time, and if you own an iPad, iPhone or iPod up to now you could download the full Polytune software app from the iTune store for £5.99 which is still good value for money when you think that the actual pedal costs around £80. Now for 3 days only you can download the full app for £0.99!!! See the advert below which was sent by email to me Here is a shot of the iPad version
It's 4326 according to the documentation...
The best way for you to find out the correct date is to Ask Sheldon in his forum at this link: http://www.dingwallguitars.com/community/viewforum.php?f=5 He keeps a record and could even possibly tell you the weight of it at completion.
It does appear to be identical :-) You do realise this means we can never be seen in public together :-) Although I do think the wood grain pattern is nicer on yours.. But hey, I can't see it when I'm playing..
What's the serial n# on yours *(stamped behind the headstock) ? mine is 4227, Sheldon Dingwall confirmed to me it was completed on 10th Dec. 2009 and it weighs 7.12lbs or 3.5Kgs. The pickups are Neodymium Humbuckers and the bass is passive, yet effing powerful and no need to worry about batteries. As for the wood grain, I disagree, I could say that maybe the grain on yours is more linear and tidy, yet I do like yours a lot too. You know the grass is always greener and all that... As for us being seen together with the same bass HAHA, imagine playing a bass duet with matching suits? LOL
Hope you got a price you were happy with! Enjoy the new gear etc etc
Yup. £1450 + £40 postage. I got what I was asking. I hanged on to it until the right buyer came along willing to pay what I believe was the right price Thanks... I am supposed to get my first new Dingwall by end of Jan / beg Feb, so Sheldon said... "Your bass is started. Your build is too early in the process to make any valuable predictions on but I'm guessing end of January or early Feb."

Fretless conversion of a Squier Classic Vibe P bass.
Grand Wazoo replied to rjb's topic in Bass Guitars
I was going to get the same thing done with my CV Jazz. I still might although its now got my CV P neck on it. I had a quote from the Gallery and it was reasonable as its not something i could do myself but i also put the feelers out to see if anyone wanted to do a straight swap with a VM fretless neck.
How does the CV Jazz plays & feels like with the P neck? I was wondering about doing a temporary swap myself to .... suck 'em and see sorta thang? -
Please do let me know if there is anything you do not like about this video. Prepare to be amazed, enchanted and... excited

Fretless conversion of a Squier Classic Vibe P bass.
Grand Wazoo replied to rjb's topic in Bass Guitars
Yeah you'll be fine for a long time, unless you play like Jaco you ain't gonna worry about scoring the fretboard, which say... 10 years from now can always be sanded back down a mil or so... -
A very rare Squier JV Series Precision on eBay
Grand Wazoo replied to Grand Wazoo's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I bet this one will go the price I originally estimated, put it this way in the last 24 hours has gone from £205 to £411, there's still 7 days to go, any more bets as to how much it will finally go for? I estimated £650-£750 but at this rate who knows how crazy it will end! I am not bidding because I think £450-£500 is the max I would pay for it.
Even more than I estimated. WOW, still I wouldn't have paid more than £500 -

SEARCH FOR BEST EVER BASS CONTINUES....
Grand Wazoo replied to minkey1980's topic in General Discussion
Ah... oh dear... can of worms indeed. Pointless thread with all due respect from yours truly. If you find it in yourself to eradicate the evils of hype, hearsay and whatever crap you read on internet fora... then you'll realize that perhaps even a £50 nameless bass can be ace to a man, and that same man couldn't care less for... say a handmade Fodera or a Ken Smith even if he could afford it. Ok example: even in this thread someone said try a Rickenbacker, they are the dogs' blx, well I have tried many Ricks in as many models as they come, money not being an issue for me, they just don't do it for me at all! Same as Warwicks, I know there is a "cult" going on about Warwick basses, but they mean jack **** to me. Don't like holding them, playing them and even hate the sound they make. But at the same time I wouldn't dare diss them, I simply appreciated they are not for me and that doesn't mean they're bad. I am sure that some of the basses I rate might not be your choice and that some people wouldn't even touch with a barge pole. So I ask, why for threads like these exist? Do we all drive the same car, wear the same shoes? No, we do not! So how could we possibly agree on what is the best bass? -
