1. For sale, our "spare" pa speakers, which we have used precisely once since buying them last year. We have another set the same that we have been using all the time, which we have been absolutely blown away by, having replaced a pair of Mackie SRM 450s. The FBTs, which are made in Italy, are far more detailed and crisp, much more powerful, unbelievably light and being digital, probably more reliable. They cost £1400 + cases, and we are looking for £950 please. I have photos, but for some reason cannot seem to load them at the moment. If you look on Ebay, you will see some for sale (ours are absolutely identical, mint in every way and the latest model) for just under £1400 with no cases, so they really are a bargain. Just look at the weight/power! We get compliments at every gig about the quality of our sound, and would never consider a different make now. NOW SOLD FBT ProMaxX 10a Features & Specfifications:

2-way, bi-amplified, bass reflex design cabinet
250mm (10') LF neodymium magnet woofer with 64mm (2,5') voice coil, custom made for FBT by B&C
25mm (1') throat exit B&C HF neodymium magnet compression driver
Frequency response from 58Hz to 20 kHz
Bi-amped: 600W RMS LF, 300W RMS HF, Class D power amplifiers with switch mode power supplies
Digital signal processor with 8 equalization presets
Control Panel: features XLR input and link out, Volume, EQ Presets, HP Filter, Ground-Lift Switch
90 deg H x 60 deg V constant directivity horn
Sturdy gas-injected polypropylene molded enclosure with one integrated handle
2 x M10 suspension points, 35 mm (1,3/8') top-hat speaker stand socket, wall bracket mount flange plate
Dual Purpose: Front of House or Stage Floor Monitor: 12, 40 and 55 degree monitoring angles
Dimensions (W x H x D) 310mm front/ 170mm rear x 540 x 275mm
Extremely light, only 11,2 kg (24,7 lb)
2.
Hey Bobpalt - do you know what the neck radius is on that? I can't seem to find it online as a spec. Cheers
I dont sorry, and I cant find it on line either! Its a really comfy neck though, and only Friday a pro musician friend played it and was blown away, commenting on how nice the neck was. I really cant fault it for what it cost, and whilst I have owned a "real" Thunderjet bass (which was awful), this is the opposite. If you are ever down Gloucestershire way, you would be welcome to try it. Cheers, Bob
 3. Gretsch Electromatic Junior Jet. Less than 200 squids. Brilliant tone, brilliant to play, brilliant to look at. I cant say enough nice things (for the money they charge), and I have owned a few short scales a LOT more expensive. Have a look, you wont be disappointed. Bob
 4. Wow, you dont see many of these for sale over here!!! I had one of the first ones in the UK in 2005, and have regretted selling it ever since I was "persuaded" to do so by another enthusiast. They might not be flashy basses, but they become such a friend and are a joy to play. Scott and his team put so much of themselves into each build that they somehow feel like organic little buggers rather than a factory built instrument. I wish I was in a position to buy this bass, I really do. Good luck, Bob
 5. I've had the input socket on a Genz Benz amp damaged by one (the "official" reason for its failure was the use of said cable), and twice on stage have had sudden failures of Switchcraft sockets which looking back could possibly have been due to the cable. The bits inside were pushed out of place, so I for one would never use a PW cable in a live situation as its just not worth the risk. My friend has used the same cable though for 12 years and he swears by them...
 6. Wow! What a way for me to find out I've sold my bass! Many thanks, you wont be in the slightest bit disappointed. Did Mark point out that there are a few new sets of strings in the case as well? Cheers, Bob
 7.
I want this! http://www.bassdirec...tatus_S2_4.html But this is only possible if you want to buy my Lakland Jobo 5 in Natural Ash with Bartolinis and an Audere preamp. ABS case included! Pictures to follow. Simple! £895 There's something about Father's Day that makes one irrationally aspirational!
Shame I didnt know. Thats my bass, and I'm only in Tewkesbury.................... Sorry! Cheers, Bob
 8. I have started to try to reduce my collection at long last, and first up is my Nordy VJ4. This is a very light, comfortable bass (just over 8lb on the kitchen scales), and is fitted with an Audere pre. I dont know which models the Nordstrand pickups are sorry! Its in really good condition, although I have to point out that there are a couple of very small marks which you have to look for to find on the body and neck, so its technically not mint. There is a hard case included as well as straplocks, and I am not looking for trades, sorry (the idea is to reduce the numbers!), and I think its very fairly priced. NOW SOLD, subject to the usual. [
 9. Another bump. Any offers or trades? The only thing I'm really after is another GK MB200 micro head.
 10. No one interested? Problem is I cant put the Indie up on ebay as they wont accept ads for copies of this well known brand.................
 11.
Oh it gets worse!! I'm only in Cheltenham :-(
If you want it, I will even deliver it to you! Bob
 12. Bump for reduced prices. These are really nice basses, worth every penny, but I appreciate that the market is slow at the moment.
 13.
Does this have the f hole at the top? It's difficult to see because of the colour.
Hi. No, sorry, its the solid body version. I'm not much of a photographer I'm afraid! Bob
 14.
Bought one of these earlier this year from a BCer, one of the best guitars I've ever played. Have a bump on me for a little beauty.
Cant disagree. I've played much worse that were far more expensive.
 15.
I can personally vouch for both of these basses, they are top notch, and Bob is a total gentleman, scholar & acrobat
Many thanks Tom, but where did this misconception that I'm acrobatic come from? Agrophobic, apoplectic, ambivolent maybe, but a 58 year old, 20 stone acrobat is somewhat beyond the imaginable! They are nice basses though, and both bargains I would add........
