1. HMMM........I'll try an edit and see if I can make them work!
 2. This bass has been owned by me since the early 1980s and needs a new home (as I want a Thumb, and something has to go!) It was fitted with EMG pups 20 odd years ago, and apart from that is original. The wear you can see on the pictures is not down to the wood, it is the lovely polished patina that comes only with use. It has not been played for many years and would probably benefit from new strings and a set-up. It has a foam-lined wooden case. The asking price is £900.00 or would trade/px for a Thumb. Did I mention that I want a Thumb.....? Price now £700.00 - get yer money out! 3. I'll trade my '74 precision - but it's probably just as heavy......
 4. OK, here's my 70's well-gigged P bass in original mocha - who needs a "road-worn" replica, only years of careful neglect will produce that patina.... Trouble is - it has to go, as it gives me neck-ache!
 5.
condition looking good from photos but please confirm any past repairs ? thanks fretless
Hi Fretless She's had a number of past repairs - can't tell you how many, she's considerably older than me! What I can say is that the repairs made have all been to a high standard. It seems mostly that there has been attention to areas where the wood has dried/cracked, these areas appear to have been secured using stiches or parchment, and animal glue - so are likely to be very old, and obviously sound. My bowmaker fitted a new ebony fingerboard and gave her the "once-over" some years ago, at which time he approved the repairs and found no problems.
 6. It IS a pretty bass - and she plays beautifully! BTW, Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct section!
 7. OK, Massive reduction in price! Electric gigs gone silly, and must re-equip in a hurry so I'll take £2000.00 for a limited period (i.e. until I can raise money from another source!) This has got to be a bargain!!
 8.
I don't know whether it is bargain or not, the seller wants about 100 pounds for it. I think I should give it a try...
If it's anything like the quality of my steinberger "Jack" I'd snatch his hand off! I was thinking of selling it, but if they are only fetching that sort of dough I'll hang on to it!!!
 9. Still available, and open to a trade....may accept P/X with high-end bass guitar
 10.
Right, this has to go. All non-silly offers considered.
Swap it for a '74 precision?
 11. I'd swap my Hohner Jack headless for it....
 12.
What about exchange for money?
I'm not unhappy about money - it's just that I don't know how much to ask - I'll do some research!
 13.
But if you trade them you'll end up with the same amount.
Errrmm.......... one and one and one is? and, if I can divest myself of one upright that will be getting rid of 4 instruments..... Anyway, My wife thinks it's a good idea - Shshhh!
 14. O.K. That's it! - I've decided that enough is enough! I simply can't stand the nagging anymore - My Wife is winning.... I'm offering any/all of my basses in exchange for WHY? I need to end up with One decent fretted, and one decent fretless bass. Ideally I'm looking for Warwick (Thumb or Corvette?) or similar. Cash either way possible, but I haven't decided on values yet. If anyone has any ideas/offers I'll be interested to hear from them... Will post pics if requested, Ask for details...

 17.
Hi while looking through the local ads I found this Michael Poller Romanian bass really, really cheap so I took a punt on it. My First impressions are it needs new strings and a setup. I thought it was going to be all laminate but I think the top is carved, I'm no expert but the grain seems to continue to the edge of the top But the idea is to string it with gut type strings and use it as a back up, advice much appreciated i hope I got a bit of a bargain here but if I didn't that's life! I've added a bunch of pics so any info advice would be appreciated
Looks as if it should be all laminate to me - but, hey, if it was cheap....
