1. Bareknuckle pickups from cornwall are really good. The p bass pickup in my japanese P bass really makes the most of the instrument.
2. Anyone need any further info? (Bump)
3. Hi, I have a Fender custom shop 1960 Jazz bass, and I absolutely love it. There are a couple on here second hand that look good, especially the 60s one that's just gone up for sale. I had a Sandberg California jazz bass and whilst it was a lovely instrument, it didn't sound that much like a jazz bass. Active electronics change the sound of a bass, not always for the better. There's a response and transparency to passive basses that I prefer to active basses. Lastly, if you're not put off by the low price tag, I do have a Fender American Vintage '62 jazz for sale on here, and it is very very similar to the aforementioned Custom Shop jazz. It's actually a bit louder and more thick sounding, but I prefer the slightly thicker neck of the custom shop. James
4. No that's a custom shop '60 jazz bass! But i tell you what, they're pretty close in terms of sound. In fact, the American Vintage one is a bit louder and more punchy!
5. Now with a new video to watch!
6. Sorry forgot to say - No Trades!

*now I will deliver via courier* Hi all, I've decided to move on my Fender American Vintage 62 Jazz Bass. It's a lovely instrument, but most of the time I end up playing my precision because of the type of gigs I'm doing. Here's the info and pictures from the previous owner, plus 2 of my own. 1999 American Vintage 62 Re-Issue Jazz.

Stacked knobs
Nitro finish
Vintage jazz pickups
Thumbrest fitted by previous owner
2 pickguards to choose from, tortoise or black!
Rear ashtray pickup cover
Original Case
Fitted with new Ernie Ball Super Slinkys
Previous owner had dent on the back of the neck filled, uplus the neck trued. The receipt of work is included with the bass. The bass has a few scratches and signs of use, but is in good overall condition. In Bath most weeks, but bass is normally located in Greenwich. What does it sound like? Have a flick through as I change the pickup settings for different songs. The recording isn't fantastic but gives you an idea. Back pickup is burply but full (60s position), a nice fat and smooth 2 pickup sound, and the front pickup sounds more round, like a precision. Check out the videos below to see what I mean. And here: Not great recording or indeed playing, but it gives you an idea. I just recorded it on my phone. I start on the front pickup, then onto both pickups, then finish on the back one. Come and try it out! [s]£825.00[/s] £800.00 including shipping. Thanks for looking. My feedback is floating around on this site, check it out. James
8. Nice guy, I sold him my Sandberg. Deal with confidence. James
9. Delivery option now available if required..
10. SOLD Dear all, For sale is my SWR goliath III 4x10 speaker enclosure. from swramps.com... Impedance: 8 ohms Power Handling Capacity: 700 Watts RMS Sensitivity: 105 dB SPL @ 1W1M Frequency Response: 105 dB @ 1W1M (-3dB@ 40Hz and 15KHz) Size: 23" W x 25.25" H x 18.375" D Weight: 89 lbs. Production Period: 1996 to 2007 Final Retail Price: $1,214.27 I bought this second hand from a shop, but it had two speakers missing. I think someone took out the top two drivers to put into 2x10 or something. I bought 2 SWR replacement speakers from thomann, fitted them in and have enjoyed using it ever since. The speakers cost me about £240 all together, a few months ago. Also fitted and included are a set of coldene castors that are attached, with 3" rubber wheels and brakes on one side. This makes moving this thing about relatively easy, and because the wheels are larger than the standard castors, it goes over paving slabs and uneven ground with ease. These cost me about £45 I am selling because I don't need all this muscle! This cab has 4x10" speakers, and is rated at 105 dB @ 1W1M. This is a high value for any bass cab. This cab is plenty loud enough for fairly big gigs when I put 175w of genz benz shuttle 3 through it. When I put 300w of Epifani 502 through it, it's LOUD! It also has an adjustable tweeter. It is quite heavy, but it's not unmanageable. I'm only a little guy and don't have problems moving it on my own. When you have it on a gig you're happy it's there! I would rate it's condition at 7/10. It's a solid cab and was clearly used before it came to me, but it works and sounds great. It appears that someone has reattached the dust cap on one of the lower speakers with codydex or similar suitable glue. No rattling can be heard! Price reflects this. So please come and grab a bargain! Preferably collection, but will post at buyer's expense.Located in Greenwich, London. £200 ono SOLD
11. Still available! I would consider trades for a nice lightweight 4x10 / 2x12 4 Ohm cab. Especially anything Epifani / Genz Benz / Barefaced etc..
12. Sorry I only just saw your comment. No idea of actual weight. It is a bit on the heavy side, but jazz type basses usually are. With a wide strap I've never found it to be a problem for my back, and I'm a little guy. The sustain and low end depth it has is awesome for the dense wood though!
13. Sunday bump. Travelling west to bath on Wednesday if that helps anyone?
14. Thanks for the offer but I'm not into how they feel to play.
