The cab is a D410XLT 700W @ 8ohms Dont mean to sound so negative just wasnt expecting an enquiery from so far away if your still interested let me know, I dont mind delivering to a location within a reasonable distance of Portsmouth (south coast) for the cost of fuel Iguess it shouldnt be to much of a problem to set up paypal or whatever else I can do to help. If you think I'm in cloud cuckoo land on price let me know I wont be offended (spent most of my life in cloud cuckoo land or somewhere nearby). John
price drop £300

The amp comes racked in a 4u hard case with a Korg tuner leaving 1u slot spare. The D410 has seen very little use as it only came out for big gigs, the D210 has been used regularly but none of the rig has ever been pushed hard (I dont play very loud and always had PA support) I need to down size because a. 7. Most comprehensive specs I have ever seen for cabinets being sold to Joe Public, along with Alex's desciptions of how they compare to other cabinets I already have a mental picture of what these cabinets sound like and am convinced I need to investigate futher. I would definately be asking other manufacturers for similar information befor making a buying choice and who knows if enough people ask ?. Any more than this and I for one would probably stop reading. At the end of the day its how it sounds to the individual on the day that will sell a cabinet not the specs and most of us are only reading the specs because we havent got our hands on the cab itself so if I can just have a complete set of all your cabinetes Alex to try in all possible configurations by tomorrow Reality bites John
 8.
I currently have a pair of NS5XL's and after taking them to a recent gig I realised I had £6K worth (insurance valuation for new replacements) of instruments sitting on a pub stage just waiting to be stolen. So I've kinda decided one of them has to go & be replaced by a lower value Euro Spector 5 as my back up bass - thanks Phil I can't really justify three Spector 5's & I have the Euro & a Ken Smith heading my way soon so it looks like the redwood one is probably the most likely candidate to sell as it's the one I'm least likely to gig with. It's a tough call though and I don't desperately need to sell to fund the incoming basses so I thought I'd see if there's anyone out there really interested in owning one of these limited edition water cured redwood beauties. I'm in this for £2K so that's my 'firm' price for it. This has been up for sale here on BC once before so there's a fair bit of history kicking around. Simple summary is that it was originally sold, not all that long ago, for £3,200 and lists at around the $4,500 mark in the USA (which would take it up to well over £3K in the UK). Compared to the previous listing it now doesn't have a hard case but I do have the signed certificate of authenticity to prove it's one of the limited run of 24. Here's some sales 'guff': The Spector Limited Edition Redwood Burl NS-5XL is crafted with 75-to-100 year-old, water-cured redwood burl. The burl rests on a platform of Spector's legendary hand-selected, premium exotic woods: maple for the neck and black walnut for the body wings. Water-cured redwood is harvested from the stumps of redwood trees cut down 75-100 years ago that fell into streams. These trunks were submerged in water the entire time, which washed all the resins out of the wood and replaced them with dissolved minerals. This natural mineral enrichment process is what gives the wood its unique color and density. This natural water curing is very similar to the method that has been used for curing violin woods in Europe for hundreds of years. The Spector NS-5XL 5 string bass guitar is constructed with 3-ply maple neck-thru construction with graphite stiffening rods and a heavy-duty truss rod. It has a 35" scale rosewood fretboard with Spector's abalone crown inlays, dual USA EMG-40DC humbuckers and Spector's Tone Pump pre-amp. Those of you who know your Spectors will know that it plays like a dream, super low action & very easy to zip around the fretboard. Personally I love the sound of Spectors and it's absolutely become my #1 gigging bass sound. It's in damn near 'as new' condition, I can't see a single mark on it anywhere! I have had some tentative dealing around my asking price & it's possible that this may still come off, so apologies in advance if I list this & then have to remove it quickly. I'm not really looking for trades but if anyone has a 5 string of a similar value then let me know, I could always be swayed by something like a nice NYC Sadowsky as I still miss my old 4 stringer Anyway, enough prattling, here's some pics:
" "
 9. That is one beutiful bass tell me is it still possible to sell children for scientific experiments -_-
 10.
Hey guys Looking into buying a new head below £1000 Found this little devil, the Eden WTX500, looks very practical for my kinda setup. Does anyone have any feedback on Eden? alternatively, does anyone have this head and could tell me if its worth the money? Saw a video of the bass player from the stooges trying his Eden rig, but it was quite hard to understand him Thanks very much!
Cant comment on that particular amp but my wt500 works really well especialy with my xlt210 and xlt410 cabs all of which will be for sale soon. hmmm was that a bit obvious ?

 12.
Cracking set up, love the Wal, I'll bet that lot sounds magnificent. What kind of stuff do you play?
Thanks its always done me proud, I play bues and rock altho I get complaints that when I play the bluesy stuff that I mess with rythms too much cant say I know what they mean. The drummers I have worked with always seem to enjoy it tho (funk it up a little, swing it a little, jazz it up a little) just find one with ears make eye contact and away ya go we can always apologise to the lead guitarist later
 13. the rig is now too big for me to move (bad back) and I need to down size so if anyone is interested let me know also if anyone has any suggestions on what would be good in the "I can still pick it up and it sounds good" category pleeease let me know that too.
 14. Hi all was searching the net to try and find out what my Eden stack (WT500 Highwayman,210XLT,410XLT) is worth when I discovered Basschat and having spent a couple of hours reading many and various posts I still have no idea what my rig is worth , but I have decided that I must join up and join in with you folks and hopefully I can add something meaningful or at least overtly offensive to the pot (damn ! drug reference if I delete it quick maybe they wont notice ; relax man they wont notice it ; are you sure ; yeah yeah yeah trust me ; well if your sure god I'm such a dope OH NO! i DID IT AGAIN ............
