Hey guys, I know I've tried to shift this one before but this time its a needs must. I just don't have anywhere to put it in my new house and the gigs I do at the moment just don't require something this big so basically it's useless to me (and my dad is getting fed up of storing it for me lol!) It's a great rig and has served me very well. The head is a Warwick 400 watt Pro Tube 4 which has lived in a Gator 4u rack case since I bought it. They're discontinued now but a quick google search will give you all the specs. The cab is Warwicks very fine Neo 4x10, a couple of scuff marks on the carpet finish but nothing major and still sounds as good as the day I bought it. I can't stress enough that this is a lovely rig, nice and punchy and cuts through the mix very well. It's been great for almost any situation I've put it in. I've used it for loads of bands from heavy metal to "mustang sally" wedding gigs, only problem is it's size (a bit too big for a jazz band!) As I said before it's at my parents house (hence the lack of pics). I'll get my dad to take some photo's of it and post them on here asap. In total it cost me about £1250ish (as far as I can remember!), looking for any reasonable offers on this as I need to raise enough money to replace it. I'm open to trades on smaller rigs and combos, prefferably Mark Bass or something similar. Ta very big. Ad

OK this is still available and apologies again for the lack of pics. I'm away all this week so haven't had chance to get some up. If anyone wants to make me an offer around as follows: Head + 4u Gator Rack £350 (£300 without the rack) Cab £340 (speakon cable included) £650 for the lot. I'm making a big loss on this so I can't really go lower. As I said before the only reasons for sale is because I just don't have storage space for it and it's too big for the gigs I'm doing at the moment. Pleeeeeeeeeease! Someone needs this rig! You know you want it! I'm based in York at the mo but will be moving to St Helens in about a week or so. Adam
Adam whereabouts in the world are you? I'm interested in the cab alone if Mike's still interested in the head. I actually have the rig you have and want to add another 4X10 (or 1X15) to move more air. I play the heaviest of rock/metal you see and getting over the drums is blooming hard work. However, I adore the range of tones I can get out my rig, it's just amazing and the most versatile I've had so far. I just need more!
PM'd you mate

Ta for that Mike, very helpful! If I get stuck I'll be in touch lol! Adam

Loved it Mike. Question I always meant to ask: are you going thumb, index, middle, ring when you do the 4 finger garrison thing or are you going the other way? Reason I ask is I've been finding it slightly easier and a bit more comfortable to go backwards if that makes sense? Basically going ring, middle, index, thumb. I dunno why I find it more comfortable, maybe its just my hand position. I'm trying to work on my consistency a bit as I can't seem to hop from string to string very well with it. Got any tips? Great vid tho. Adam
Would you be interested in splitting it at all? And if so, how much would you be after for the head? Cheers, Mike
Potentially, only problem is I would also need a quick sale on the cab. PM me an offer for the head and I'll do some sums as I'm obviously gonna need to replace it pretty sharpish as well. Adam

As the description suggests I need to shift my rather beautiful rig simply because the kind of gigs I do nowadays have no requirement for a rig of this size and I just don't have room to store it anymore due to moving house. The head is 2 channels: The tube channel is one power tube and one preamp tube with a 2 stage setting (very ballsy tone) and the second channel is the solid state channel with an 8 band eq and compressor/limiter. It has unbelievable clarity in the top and and a very punchy low end. The most notable thing is the masses of headroom it gives you, I can honestly say the loudest I've ever needed to push this rig is gain at half and master at 3/4 and I was told to turn down! It really is incredibly loud! Comes with a Gator 19" rack case where it has lived since I bought it. Perfect working order. The cab is Warwick's wonderful Neo 4x10 which is just simply awesome. If you've ever heard one of these beasties you'll know what I mean, 800 watts handling and I have NEVER distorted this cab. Great all round tonal range and a surprisingly huge sub frequency, I thought about adding another cab to this rig but then though "actually, whats the point?!" It goes hand in hand with the head and will fill just about any big concert room (I used it at the Cinnamon Club in Manchester a few weeks ago and I didn't need to go through the PA!) Theres a couple of scuffs on the carpet at the front where some ape of a roady loaded it into a van and scuffed a flight case along the front of it but other than that its in perfect working order. The whole rig including the rack case cost me around £1100, I would prefer to trade this for a decent combo but I would also consider selling. I'll post pics at the weekend as I'm not at home at the mo. Cheers Adam

Hey guys, like the title says what are the pros and cons of using a small PA for a rig? Does anyone out there just not bother with an amp and go direct? Does anyone use literally a small PA and send a feed to the band PA? Just curious to know what everyone thinks about this?

Balls!!!! Why always at the wrong time?!?!?! A month ago I'd have had your arm off for this! Can't afford it now though cos I've just had to put a deposit down for my new house. Only 2 words can sum up this most unfortunate situation: ULTRA CRAP! Please for christ's sake someone buy this its an absolute steal! Good luck with the sale matey. -
Really? Wow fair enough I just googled beyonce's bass player when the track came on my mp3 playlist. Well whoever played it its class!
It may help you get a price in perspective; I sold the 900 watt BIG brother to your head at the beginning of this year and IIRC I got £400 for it. Consider that any one looking for a 400 - 500 watt head is also going to think 'hmmm a 'new' MB head will cost me £500 or I can buy this 2nd hand Warwick for £???'. Sadly, you do realistically have to consider what you can get for you money now rather than what you paid for your amp 8 years ago. It may have cost the thick end of almost a grand but now you can get 500 watt heads from most manufacturers for about half that price. The very reason that you are thinking of selling might be the same reason that other people 'may' not want your amp. However, there are exceptions to every rule and a quality valve amp will always retain a good chunk of its value due to its die hard legion of fans and there will always be a market for good quality solid state amps (which yours is), you just have to accept that the value may be lower than the usual anticipated 50% of retail.
very wise words mate. Sadly I am aware that I'll probably end up making a huge loss on this rig but sometimes you've got to bite the bullet right? What can I say, at the time it I got it it was perfect for my requirements (rock covers) but now I need something a bit more portable cos I'm getting busier and busier playing wise. Still I've got pleanty of time to think about what I'm gonna do with it so theres no real rush! So do we reckon about £800 would be a reasonable price for the full rig? Adam
Think I'm gonna have to try a few more before I spend... I had a go on Laney's new bass stuff at the guitar show - didn't really like any of it. It weighed more then a house. I think my next purchase will be between EBS and MARK. Think MARK has the edge at the minute... heres my video again (shameless..!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6wG71TR2_0
Woooooooooooah! Thats funky as sh*t man! Love it! Adam
